What was your opinion of the top 10 rankings?

1. Brady

2. Miller

3. Julio

4. Brown

5. Mack

6. Rodgers

7. Zeke

8. OBJ

9. Bell

10. Ryan

Personally, I feel that David Johnson should be in the #9 slot, and Bell should be #12.

His stats

Att: 293

Rush Yds: 1,239

Avg: 4.2

TD's: 16

Rec: 80

Receiving Yds: 879

Avg: 11.0

TD's: 4

Bell's stats

Att: 261

Rush Yds: 1,268

Avg: 4.9

TD's: 7

Rec: 75

Receiving Yds: 616

Avg: 8.2

TD's: 2

Johnson had 20 total TD's compared to Bell's 9.. That alone should have put him in the top 10.

Now, his average yards per attempt rushing we're slightly lower than Bell's at 4.2 to 4.9,

but he had 263 more receiving yards than bell, and caught only 5 more passes than Bell.

Both are exceptional backs, but this was one that was a shocker.. Johnson got snubbed

Rodgers should be #2 ... He's ridiculous.

Zombo

I was surprised he wasn't in the top 3...

Dude had 40tds to only 7ints and many said he was having a down year.. Yeah ok..

Rodgers's "down year" is better than any of our QB's best years in the entire existence of the Cleveland Browns.

Ah, no. Otto Graham played for the Browns, remember. (now, if you are talking statistics, OK, probably....but I was going further than just mere stats)

Who the best players will be in 2017 is totally uncertain. Half these guys could get injured. Bell....who has had more positive dope tests than Josh Gordon...yet has been permitted to continue to play, could toke up again and get caught.

And other people could really step up to the plate to be standouts.

Derek Carr could be in contention again for MVP.

I doubt that any rookies can crack the Top 10....but I bet several of them could crack the top 100.

By one measure, the following were the top performers of this last season:

You think 4.9 is "slightly lower" than 4.2 when talking about ypc?

Well.. maybe 4.2 is not "slightly lower" than 4.9. It's almost a yard extra per carry and I get that Bell had the better average, but.

When you take into account the total TD's Johnson had over Bell, to me, its a head-scratcher that he was ranked lower on the list..

I surmise that the list was just some author's subjective point of view. You or I could make such a list and have it be just as legitimate. The only difference being that we do not have a forum to publish our list...nor would we likely be paid for doing so.

Brady wouldn't be in the top 100 if he didn't play for Belichik

I disagree...it is Brady that makes Belichick...not the other way around. BB would have his team playing like the Browns did in his next to last season. They would play defense well...and play fairly discipline...but they would maybe have won a few playoff games. It is Brady that has made that team elite. Without him, they would basically be what the Kansas City Chiefs have been.

Can't agree at all and the success of average QBs backing up Brady suggests to me that it's the system that wins rather than 6th round Tom

Well...you may not agree...but you would be wrong. As I said....the Pats without Brady would be a team with a good defense and would have discipline...but without Brady...they may be a playoff team....NOT a championship team. Tom Brady makes them a Championship team. When Brady leaves...any real chance at Championship leaves with him....unless they get a real quality QB to succeed him....ala Steve Young replacing Joe Montana, or Aaron Rodgers replacing Brett Favre. And how often has that happened? Likely just those two times in history.

What bugs me most are all the guys in the top 10 that we just passed on......Julio, K Mack, Zeke, OBJ......to name just a few(and we coulda had them all....right now).....bet Bosa is in there somewhere too....

32 teams means an average of 3+ per team should make the list.....we are down to 1 player......had 4 in 2014(dumped Ward).....3 in 2015(dumped Gipson)....2 in 2016(dumped Barny)......and now 1....(please dont dump Thomas)....

Thats growth for ya!

Bell played less games and has a longer career resume.
