Tour2ma
Gosh, I'm confused here. Isn't this the same fan base that folds the Turkey Jones cheap-shot piledriver into its avatars? To like celebrate it, as like the greatest thing ever? I have not seen that play in anywhere years let alone in any avatars around here. It was a cheap shot... even in an era when the QB was still fair game. Right up there with Jim Haslett stepping on Bradshaw's helmetless head... out of bounds no less... So what was your point? Silverback
Yeah, a fine at least, and a suspension wouldn't shock me Yeah, a player tried to leap over another player in a TACKLE FOOTBALL game should be suspended for it. Go watch cricket you vagina.
RoyceRolls
This play was so hilarious I couldn't even get mad.
Tour2ma
Yeah, a player tried to leap over another player in a TACKLE FOOTBALL... It was not the attempted hurdle, in question. It was the kick to the face when he realized he wasn't going to make it. Stiff arm... legal. Stiff leg... not so much...
Ibleedbrown
Guys, it's football. And if you got the football in your hands, you can do no wrong. It's like being Pac Man and you just ate the Big dot. How many Unnecessary Roughness calls have you seen against the ball carrier?
Tour2ma
Trust me, I've seen that gif used in countless Brownie fans signatures. My point is, your fan base masturbates to the probably the worst and cheesiest, most cowardly cheap shot committed against an opposing player ever. If you don't believe me, go out and ask your average Brownies fan old enough to remember, what they think of Turkey Jones. And that's cool with your fan base. But then something as clearly as accidental as Brown happens today and you're all clucking about it like stuck hens. Not only acting like a bunch of pussies, but hypocrites to boot. Point enough for you? Not even close... You can't even be honest enough with yourself to see what occurred in today's play and I am supposed to trust you? As for Joe Jones' play... I'm old enough to have not only seen it, but condemn it at the time with many fellow members of the Browns fan base doing the same. Is there an element that celebrated it and celebrates it to this day? Sure, but it's not all. And without it being all you have no argument... and you have no point... calfoxwc
I know sleazeball squeeler fans don't care about tainted wins, and neither do the dirtbag squeelers. But they can't win a big game without cheapshots. It happened again. And, did I miss it? wr's pushing off is legal now? Or only when the stinkin steelers are playing, especially at home? OTH, the Browns weren't ready for primetime, you could see that in preseason. So far, btw, the Colts don't look ready for primetime either. "he was going for the hurdle, but knew he wasn't going to be able to, so he karate kicked the punter in the face" is worse than stupid. That's how the squeelers pick their players - dirty, no class, cheapshots, like pollywearsamumu, and plenty of others. But the Browns made adjustments at halftime, and got their game timing down. I am disgusted, though, that the last 40 secs went awry. I mean, 3rd and 16, and you throw into tight coverage and stop the freakin clock? Then, you throw a simple flare pass that was covered, and you lose more yardage and have to kick way back there? I would have run the damn clock out and gone from there into overtime. Lesson learned, and it's only the first regular season game.

calfoxwc
Should have been ejected immediately and off the field. What does a squeeler have to do to get ejected, drag the cheerleaders out on the field and beat them up? (apparently, the cowardly refs would let them kick the cheerleaders in the face, eh?) Cbus Brownie
Nah, just let it go. It's football. He meant to hurdle him and that's how it shook out. Crying about it won't make it go away, no offense.

jcam222
I've watched it over and over. I am convinced he truly meant to hurdle him. Our guy was down low when Brown started his jump.

Tour2ma
Suspension? No... Fine? Yes... Ejection? Should have been, but too late now. There was a ground level replay that clearly showed Brown kicking his leg forward just prior to "impact".
hoorta
Lol. He's so not getting suspended. He will however get fined. calfoxwc
squeeler fans are always living in the past, and are never happy with the present. The Browns have a very bright near future. Must really suck to be a squeeler fan and rationalize their cheap shot plays.

djdawg2010
That was some ticky tack bullshit by Brown! But go figure! At any rate, where were Lanning's teammates in getting in Brown's face?! Best believe in the old days that type of horseshit would have resulted in a bench clearing brawl! calfoxwc
The steelers don't respect the Browns, or any other team. They don't respect the refs, or fans, or women in bars, don't respect the rules of football.... they and their fans don't respect themselves. Tomlin condones all this garbage. That's going to change soon, when the Browns get established as a playoff team. They have to play the Browns next....in Cleveland. That isn't a good thing for them. Clevfan4life
google Hillis hurdles defender.....and that's a 240lb man "properly" hurdling a defender. Brown led with his cleats which is a big no no and should have been an ejection. I realize it's hard to make the call on the spot, but replays should have been able to take into account that he pulled his shin back and did an Anderson Silva front kick. Should have been gone. tml1138
Attempted hurdle or not, it was completely poor judgement from A. Brown. And a piss poor attempt at a hurdle at that.
TypicalBrowns
Refs werent calling holding on Pit (their O line i saw held 3 times in a row during the 3rd qtr, no flags. Also brown pushed off Haden on that TD. Gilbert was getting pushed off so much he had to push back and got flagged. Fucking horseshit copy and paste like every other year. Goodells a Stooler fan. Clevfan4life
I had no idea who the fuck Turkey Jones was. Long before my time. Was a dirty tackle for sure. If one of our guys would do that today, even if it was Roethlisberger, they'd have to go. That's a german suplex btw, not a piledriver...get it right

Dste Ace
I'll tell you what pisses me off about this play. The fact that Brown should have been planted about one second after he caught the ball. There are enough arm tackles, missed tackles, and defenders taking bad angles at the ball carrier for half a season, and we provided it all on one play.
