I think the part of the mind that makes you want to play football conflicts with the part of anyone's mind that tells them to sleep with a man.

its ok guys, the expert is here.

I've read wargograw's book which was a veritable fount of knowledge on avoiding the most feared communicable disease of the 21st century: homosexuality. Here are a few tips for maintaining your heterosexuality.

-don't recycle

-don't bathe more than three times a week

-don't use public bathrooms

-don't read

-avoid eye contact with any known wine-drinkers

-eating fruit is for fruits

-never apologize

-insert hard boiled eggs into anus while watching Sean Hannity

I thought the last one was a bit strange, but boy does it work! I'm straighter than ever! Excuse me, I have a soldiers funeral to protest.

Why doesn't Michael Sam try out for the CFL? If he can't make it in Canadian football then he can have "closure" at long last. He's not good enough for the NFL but there are other leagues.

And take Tim Tebow with him.

Well your dumb ass got worked when you tried to criticize my writing so I guess you want to take a stab at math. My number was liberal and it was a preseason type number when the teams are at the largest. This, I thought, would be fair in this situation since Sam would fall into that category (if even that).

I don't think there's a size limit. I think the part of the mind that makes you want to play football conflicts with the part of anyone's mind that tells them to sleep with a man. As much as these sick libs wanna make it the case where the toughest most badass members of our society like men (because we respect those guys, therefore we might respect homosexuality more), it just isn't.

Who let this backwards ass fuck near a computer?

IMO the toughest most badass members of our society, are the soldiers who place their lives on the line to defend this country, and they aren't millionaires that get to retire in their thirties.

Why the fuck does it matter?

Because it matters to certain segment of society. Unfortunately for that segment- the NFL is a talent based league, not a sexual orientation based league. Sams was considered a marginal talent draft day. That was proven to be accurate. You can bet the ranch- if he played like Suh pun intended- a team wouldn't care if he showed up before a game wearing a pink tutu.

Ok, I stand corrected. Second most.

So where are all these openly gay players? Unless you take Michael Sam's statement as fact, my theory has proof to support it. I'm not even sure what you guys are asserting but if it's that the NFL is teeming with gay men, well, based on the information we have now, that's wrong.

that wasn't my point- I have no idea how many gay players there are in the NFL. Could there be others that aren't coming out? Sure. It doesn't matter to me. Sams is making a case he can't cut it in the NFL- because the straights don't want him in the NFL- not because he flat out doesn't have the talent.

and that wasn't your point that you first posted. them 'crazy liberals' will do nothing but have the openly gay public rubbed in the nose of those who despise the thought of it.

my point nfl player or not, who fucking cares? are you that hot that a gay guy is going to corner you in a bathroom stall like big ben does to teenage girls? c'mon man. in this day and age that type of thinking is just D-U-M-B.

Your second sentence doesn't make sense, so I won't try to respond. If you want to fix or rephrase it, I'll be happy to.

I don't really care. I just like to discuss and analyze things and when someone makes a statement, I usually have an opinion on whether they're wrong or right.

If there are gay NFL players, fine, let them come out. All I'm saying is I don't personally think there are.

Also, "and that wasn't the point that you first posted."

The point in my first post was merely a response to Sam's assertion. I countered opinion with opinion. And based on what we know now, my opinion is accurate over his. Of course, time will tell whether his was correct, and I'm open to seeing the results.

If you had to take a bet, who's your money on?

I have a feeling right now any member of the Steelers could be down on all 4's taking a load in the shit pipe.

Why do you think your opinion is more accurate? Because you have a biased opinion on what a gay man is supposed to do / look like / etc. Where as Michael Sam has played big time college football, has been in an NFL locker room, knows NFL players....

... right, but I'm sure you're right. I mean, clearly your preconceived notions about homosexuality couldn't be wrong.

You'd fit in with a lot of our posters on the Political Board.

Why do you think your opinion is more accurate?

I explained this already. Because a whopping zero NFL players are known homosexuals. If you've got evidence to support the contrary, provide it. If not, unnecessarily imply I'm a bigot like everyone else in this thread and move on.

He would fit in over there because he would jump to conclusions and throw out accusations like you just did?

Right, and is it really a surprise that they wouldn't come out? With the way we still have some people act, and the stigma they'd face in the NFL, you can't really blame them.

Here is my evidence: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LGBT_demographics_of_the_United_States Demographic statistics in the US. The odds of there not being any gay players in the NFL is incredibly slim.

Comments made regarding you are only based on comments you yourself have made.

I already acknowledged that "the odds of there not being any gay players in the NFL is incredibly slim." See page 1.

I haven't made any comments in this thread that weren't merely commentary on the accuracy of Sam's statement. I have not gone on any tirade about homosexuality being wrong (I haven't even asserted that it is wrong in the first place).

Just saying they're more likely than an offensive guard or DT or a corner with dreads from LSU that grew up listening to Lil Boosie make fun of gay people.

Go ask a New York Times writer how many NFL players are gay. Some of these nut jobs practically think every other guy in this league is gay. It's insane.

sure it makes sense. i was pointing out your take on homosexuality and the fact that you are homophobic. with statements like those above that is a pretty clear conclusion.

also it seems like you hate liberals as well. there are some people here that will join you on that campaign.

Me claiming that the left's statistical claims about gay NFL players are bogus does not amount to homophobia. Try again.
