Here is a set of trivia. Several about the Raiders. Some other stuff.

1. What milestone did the Raiders accomplish with their win over the Eagles in the 1980 Super Bowl?

2. How long have the Raiders gone now without a winning record?

3. Who is now the Raiders HC?

4. The Raiders are in a division with the Chargers, Chiefs, and Broncos. Only one of these teams has a winning record against the Raiders. Which one?

5. What is the all time regular season head to head record Browns vs. Raiders?

6. The Raiders, in history, have had 3 players who were the MVP of the NFL. Name these 3 players.

7. What 2 players who made the Pro Bowl for the Raiders also played for the Browns?

8. Which 2 current NFL teams played a regular season game in Birmingham Ala.?

9. Name the 7 football stadiums in Ohio that have a capacity of 30,000 or more. Note: do not include baseball stadiums like Prog. or the GAB in Cinci.

10. Which Raiders players have had their jersey numbers retired?

11.Brian Hoyer started his 9th game for the Browns Sunday. The following quarterbacks that I have listed in alphabetical order have also started at least 9 games for the Cleveland Browns AND have a winning record as a starter. (others have started 9 or more and have losing records, others have winning records but have not started 9 games.)

Put these QBs in proper order of winning pct. as the starting QB of the Browns:

Otto Graham, Brian Hoyer, Bernie Kosar, Bill Nelsen, Tommy O'Connell, Milt Plum, Frank Ryan, Brian Sipe, Vinny Testaverde

I will give you the first...obvious one:

1. Otto Graham

Answers:

1. What milestone did the Raiders accomplish with their win over the Eagles in the 1980 Super Bowl?

They were the first team designated as a wildcard team to win the Super Bowl.

Although, that is really not true. Here are the 1969 AFL standings:

Western Division Team W L T PCT PF PA *Oakland Raiders 12 1 1 .923 377 242 Kansas City Chiefs 11 3 0 .786 359 177 San Diego Chargers 8 6 0 .571 288 276 Denver Broncos 5 8 1 .385 297 344 Cincinnati Bengals 4 9 1 .308 280 367

The Chiefs did not win their division, yet won the Super Bowl. How come they are not considered a wildcard team?

2. How long have the Raiders gone now without a winning record?

11 years, working on 12. Their last winning season was the year they made the Super Bowl in 2002

3. Who is now the Raiders HC?

Tony Sparano, former Dolphins HC

4. The Raiders are in a division with the Chargers, Chiefs, and Broncos. Only one of these teams has a winning record against the Raiders. Which one?

Only the Chiefs have a winning record vs. Raiders. They are 54-50-2 against them

5. What is the all time regular season head to head record Browns vs. Raiders?

The Raiders lead the series 11-9.....plus 2 playoff wins against the Browns 1980 and 1982

6. The Raiders, in history, have had 3 players who were the MVP of the NFL. Name these 3 players.

Ken Stabler, Marcus Allen, and Rich Gannon

7. What 2 players who made the Pro Bowl for the Raiders also played for the Browns?

Greg Pruitt and Jeff Jaeger. Yes, a kicker.

8. Which 2 current NFL teams played a regular season game in Birmingham Ala.?

On 9/22/1968 the Jets and the Patriots played a game in Birmingham Ala. At that time the Pats were playing their home games in Fenway Park, but because the Red Sox were involved in the playoffs that year, they essentially told the Pats to get lost and play elsewhere so they didn't mess with the field at Fenway. So, rather than going somewhere close, like Boston College Stadium or even the Yale Bowl, they decided to go play that game in Birmingham.

9. Name the 7 football stadiums in Ohio that have a capacity of 30,000 or more. Note: do not include baseball stadiums like Prog. or the GAB in Cinci.

Uhm....Ohio Stadium...which no one got. 104,944. First Energy 73,200. Paul Brown Stadium, Cincinnati 65,790, Nippert Stadium 35,000, The Rubber Bowl...still used for high school games 31,000. Dix Stadium...Kent St. 30,250. Infocision 30,000. (next is Bowling Green Stad. at about 28K) Other MAC school stadiums are less.

10. Which Raiders players have had their jersey numbers retired?

None. The Raiders do not retire jerseys. The only one no longer eligible for use is 00....but that is because league rules forbid the use of that number. 00 is "retired" because of Jim Otto who used that number.

1. Otto Graham .810

2. Tommy O'Connell .750

3. Frank Ryan .697

4. Bill Nelsen .676

5./6. Milt Plum and Brian Hoyer both at .667....at least until Sunday

7. Vinny Testaverde .516

8.9. Bernie Kosar and Brian Sipe, both at .509
