THE BROWNS BOARD

Rank The Afc North Draft

I've had plenty of very good conversation here and a few of the posters I really enjoyed talking to left because of all the childish BS. I'm here to read about a division rival and occasionally defend my team. I don't start threads. I don't mock/harass/berate or insult unless I'm insulted first. My post count is evidence of one thing. Just how often the Steelers are talked about on a BROWNS message board. The rest have come from intelligent inter-division discussions which unfortunately seem only crop up once ever 2 months. I also read on a Ravens message board and a Bengals message board. The Ravens board talks about their own damn team with the occasional Steeler discussion from time to time. They also respect the rivalry and aren't quick to name call and act like morons. It's a unique group here but you take the good with the bad and the good is the only reason I still come around. I was gone for the last few months and came back right before the draft. The dip sh.its run the good posters off. You don't see Pizza posting as often, Al is basically gone. Essentially anyone not drinking the kool-aid browns fan or not gets run off by the mouth breathers. A childish name change isn't going to run me off.

EDIT: Also how the xxxx are you a Bills AND a Browns fan? You should probably stick to not posting.

Again coming from a Steelers fan...

Pittsburgh is a dying city? National Geographic just rated in one of the top 25 places in THE WORLD to visit because of it's rich history, architecture and diverse cultural districts. It's also being labeled as a MODEL for other cities to follow because the city came from the brink (Steel industry collapse) to a complete and total revitalization. A "Dying city" wouldn't have hosted the G20 summit. It also wouldn't be the National Headquarters for several major brands AND heading up a truly unique movie making structure that allows studios to come in, catch a tax break and make fantastic movies using the "dying city" as it's back drop. I have ABSOLUTELY no idea how this thread went from discussing draft classes to bashing cities. It's precisely why this message board has such a problem. A little civility goes a long way. I've been here a while now on two names and when I first joined it wasn't to troll. I also don't post to troll currently. It's nice to get a different perspective when people are actually using their brains. The problem with that statement is a lot of people don't use that large muscle between their ears, they just spew, spew, spew.

There are a lot of hilariously self righteous and sometimes pretentious slugs on this message board.

Right. The Avengers was filmed at least partially in Cleveland and so was Spider-man 3. What bigger movies can Pitt claim than that? Zack and miri make a porno? That made Pittsburgh look awesome, or totally realistic

Seriously? You should probably check to see what movies have been filmed in Pittsburgh over just the last five years. Guess which city IS Gotham City in the next Batman movie. It shouldn't take you long. Several Steelers also make an appearance.

Also here is a list via wikipedia

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_films_shot_in_Pittsburgh

Guess which movie is ALSO on the list? Oh the Avengers. My point was Pittsburgh started a tax credit initiative to draw major studios and it's worked. The idea was pioneered in Pittsburgh.

Give it a rest. I'm sick of every time I try to read a freaking topic I have to read stupid crap posted by you about Pittsburgh. This is supposed to be about the draft. So unless Pittsburgh drafted Batman this offseason, shut up about it! If you really love that city so much, don't know why anyone would, why don't you go post on some steeler forums and go away.

Hysterical. Trace back through the thread. I wasn't the one that started the city vs city bs, I WAS talking about the draft. I also already explained 500 times why I hit this board on occasion and I do post on my Steeler forum.

I don't care who started it! You're still rambling on about stupid crap, go to imdb if you want to talk about movies. Talk about the draft or go to a different place. btw, almost 2,000 posts isn't "occasional"...

It equates to 2 posts per day according to my profile with a majority of the posts concentrated during the season and the draft exclusively. I post occasionally.

Your draft sucks by the way.

lol. You suck. I'm still not sure how you're a Bills fan AND a Browns fan but the Bills at least had a solid draft outside of the trade up in round 3 for the track star. He's fast but he was more of a 7th round guy than a 3rd round guy. Speed kills I guess. Your TEAMS have two experiment wr's in the wings. Graham and Benjamin. You had to love getting Glenn in the 2nd round. I wouldn't have been upset had the Steelers drafted him in the first.

It didn't suck, but it wasn't as great as everyone says.

Oh absolutely since I was the one who created that name. It wasn't the admin and or admins that decided to get cute and changed it for me. I'd also love to know how my name having homo in it has anything to do with being self righteous OR pretentious. You may want to pull out your dictionary and read a couple definitions.

My favorite trick of the administrators is when they ban you, then send you emails like "come back to the Browns board, we miss you, you haven't posted in awhile." Duh, I'm temporarily banned!

I was asking a serious question, so thanks. However, Cleveland gets its fair share of movies. Not to mention almost everything on that list is some low budget indy crap. Nothing anyone would know except for robocop.

So gotham goes from being nyc, to Chicago to Pittsburgh? I don't remember gotham being in a hellish mountain holler, but I guess they've got to save money somewhere.

Avengers was filled in Albuquerque New Mexico and Cleveland Ohio. Not Pittsburg.

They filmed in Cleveland, in part because the downtown area can be gussied up to look similar to nyc. Not so much, Pittsburgh, because of the terrain. So, without checking at all, I have doubts about Pittsburgh being used for Batman. Granted, gotham is a fictional city, but its always been based on nyc.

Well to be fair Pittsburgh was used for a few shots of filming Gotham city in the upcoming Batman movie. I know because the typical loudmouth Pittsburgh fans have been bragging about it nonstop for this past year. Once scene of the Avengers was shot in a wooded area of western PA, but not actually in Pittsburgh. 2/3 of the movie was in Cleveland, and the rest was in NYC. Wikipedia isn't very accurate when listing filming locations, for example a movie like Shawshank Redemption which was filmed in Mansfield Ohio, would be listed as Cleveland.

Not to mention A Christmas Story was filmed in Cleveland! You'll shoot your eye out!! argument ended...

Whatever, Cleveland has movies, too so you can't blow Pittsburgh and down Cleveland about that. Arguably, Cleveland has had the bigger movies including just Avengers and the hideous Spider-Man 3, at least until Batman comes out. Just so you know your original statement where you allude to Pittsburgh being some little Hollywood is largely garbage. Plus the two classics mentioned in another post still trump any Pittsburgh set movie. You think tbs will run 'I am number 4' 24 hours straight at any point?

Bahaha that would be the worst 24 hours in TV history...funny thing is, doesn't the guy have a dog named Bernie Kosar in that movie??

How did everyone miss this??

As evidenced by your 7 posts you aren't on here much. Every steeler fan on this board has had their name changed. Valiant effort above though, really strong.

Not everyone. Endymion hasn't. It is only those who come in with puckered sphincters.

So? You had to bribe them to come there? I suspect it is done everywhere.

And Mike Wallace and Anthony Brown were experiments when they were taken.

Whatever....we all know however that Metropolis...for Superman IS Cleveland. Jerry Siegel and Joel Shuster invented Superman....they lived in Cleveland and Cleveland was their model for Metropolis.

Whats even sadder is theres a town in Kentucky or Tennessee claiming to be the home and museum for Superman. Yet this city does not take the initiative to takes its own fictional hero and bring him home..."WHERE HE BELONGS"

I thought the house on the East Side where Siegle first wrote Superman was turned into sort of a museum?.

Read "The Book of Lies" by Brad Meltzer for an interesting take on the Jerry Siegel creation of Superman.

Siegel father had been killed by a gunshot to the chest when Jerry was a young teenager. His father was Jerry's hero, so what he did was to invent a hero that was nearly invincible...i'e. Superman.
