Yeah and pburg without their star RB and Roethlisberger has to fall apart sometime right? Upset baby! Take the points. ;)

They only need Ben, and he is fine.

I guess the experts didn't readFlugel's post about how WIlliams has this defense whipped into a frenzy. They also didn't read up on One-Tackle-Texas. I mean, c'mon, that guy mada tackle. Opposing offenses are really worried about OTT.

This is a bit unusual 11 of the 16 week 1 games have road favorites (or home dogs take your pick) unlike college where the favorites generally have their easy cupcakes in week 1.

Or the Pros, where 16 Browns opponents get their cupcake with Paul Brown icing.

Obviously you have not reviewed the game to see what he was supposed to be doing each play. Nor did you count tackles he was a part of for which he was not given even half credit, nor the multiple times he was in position, often on the other side of the D, to make a tackle should the first man not make the play. Your desire to be the center of attention overrides your knowledge of defensive football which appears to be nil at this point.

This Browns team should be pixxed.

No respect and nobody giving them a chance before the season even begins.

It's my fault. Seriously, I don't really understand the game. I failed to realize just how sensational Garrett is, and how man tackles he was around, and influenced. Obviously, all these experts don't know the shit that you fucking geniuses do. They don't understand how even though we are not making plays, there is all kind of more important shit going on behind the scene; things that are far more important that winning championships.

Seriously, if the oddsmakers knew what you guys did, they would be..............................Fucking idiots.

Look ass fuck, nobody reads your jack off posts, and everyone reads mine. What the fuck you want me to do about it? Wave a magic wand, say abracadabra and make you interesting to read? Sorry, I am great, but even I can't pull that one off. You are dull, don't blame me.

On Garrett.......................how the fuck do YOU know what Garrett's assignment was on each play? You don't. You are so fucking stupid you watch him NOT make a play, and then you tell you everyone in the room......... LOOK LOOK DID YOU SEE THAT.............Did you see how it looked like he got man handled? Well actually, that was his assignment, what you don't realize is thathis not making a play was exactly what he was supposed to do on that play.

Oh, now I get it. Last year, when we went 1 - 19, it actually meant that the Browns were really fucking good. We just didn't understand the assignments everyone was carrying out.

Hey knuckle nutz, Garrett was hired to make plays, to terrify QBs. He made 1 fucking tackle and it was in a group of people where the ball carrier was herded into him. Now, go make up all the pretend bullshit you want about how his making no plays was really impressive when you "understand" the game.

So far, Trubisky 1 Garrett 0. It is looking like once again, the Browns fucked up the #1 pick. One-Tackle-Texas wants to be a cowgirl. Jerry Jones didn't want his pussy ass.

We are heavy underdogs because our QB position is a major question mark. Like every other year in this century.

- some other reasons: our WR position, our D....and the fact that we're coming off of a 1 win season (1 win by the skin of our teeth).

You still have not admitted whether you even saw the game let alone watched it again in detail. Why don't you review what he did play by play and give us your wisdom on each since you think no one else can understand defensive assignments on any given play. Show us your brilliance or admit you are just blowing the usual smoke up people's asses.

PS-I did watch every play he participated in again and there was exactly 1 play that he flat out got stoned dead still by a single blocker. It was on the medium long incomplete pass down the left sideline in the 1st Q.

PS again-and please knock off the personal insults. They get tiresome and are demeaning for a person who otherwise seems like a decent person according to those who actually know you.

and for good reason. i hope they pull out 5 wins out of this lame 'youth movement' bum draft cycle. they have maybe 3 legit starters out of 12 picks last year and they passed once again on anything like OL and DL or a FUCKING franchise QB to garner more 5th round picks for 2020 which they'll trade in for one 3rd round pick next year who'll be chewing gum at the barber shop 3 weeks later.

I find it difficult not to bet double digit home dogs blindly, maybe Ghoolie money down in Vegas can get us to +10.5 then it's all systems go ;)

I wouldn't take or give the points. This is a hot potato

First off Tom, Vegas has been continually wrong on point spreads in the beginning of NFL seasons. Just watch, they will really screw up some spreads because the NFL is so unpredictable from the outset. As the season progresses they dial it in pretty accurate. The Browns can win this game.

Garret has played 1 pre season game. If Garret made every tackle in the Saints game, he would have done so vs players who will be working at the car wash next month. You cant have it both ways. He is a rookie. Not every rookie sets the woods on fire stepping on to the NFL field for the first time. He may struggle all season, Does not mean that Garret is not good.

AH, Vegas is wrong? Dude, they are seldom wrong. The outcome of a game in relation to the spread has nothing to do with how much money they make. Odds are not about the game, they never have been. They are about making people bet the wrong way.

Dude, the personal insults are not insults. It is an honor for me to call you names. If I didn't like and respect you, I wouldn't even banter with you. Seriously man, it's just what I do. I even talk this way to my family. Really, don't let it get to you.

Look man, you are a very impressive football aficionado. Let's cut to the chase here. I am a product of tough love............If I got a B my Dd called me a lazy ass underachiever, If I bowled a 299 my Dad called me a pussy and a choker.........Now, that said.........he never let a day go by that he didn't tell me he loved me and was proud of me............. but...........dickhead, burr head, buffoon, paper ass, Beetle Bailey, Gilligan, Gomer Pyle, Fuzz nuts, and fuzz nuts were things he threw at me regularly.

Never did it embarrass me, or make me feel bad.

Now, unfortunately, sometimes I forget that this board is no longer just we original jackoffs who were here from the beginning, and that a lot of folks only know me as Ghoolie.

So look bro, I want Garrett to shine. I want him to bust fucking heads and take names. I want him to be a force like James Harrison, Butkus, Bednarik, Lambert, you name it. He is the #1 #1 pick. It is his birth right to have high demands placed on him.

As for you, you dumb, clumsy, sissy ass fuckhole, I appreciate very much your posts, insight, wisdom, intelligence and obvious love of the Browns.

Some say I am an acquired taste. I think I am more like a really ugly whore with a really fantastic pussy. You fucking hate calling her up, but you're always glad you did.

God Bless ya man. I am getting ready to head to Ohio. My Mom is not doing well, and is in a horrible, horrible health crisis. I probably won't post for a few days, but keep up the good fight my friend.

Vegas is wrong. They are right more often.

Odds are absolutely about the game. At 9.5 Vegas is giving the Browns a 28% chance to win. 0 points or even is 50% - 50%.chance to win. You said it yourself. People bet on the outcome.

Vegas and AC and offshore and Europe and everywhere else wants action, the more the better and they adjust their lines accordingly to try to get that balance of 50/50 with both sides receiving near equal amounts of money. Then they just sit back and collect the juice.

Oh sure there is the occasional rare case when they lose a big amount it's great somewhat FREE advertising for how you (every Joe on the street) can make big bucks! They actually want repeat customers, the biggest or maybe most most memorable of these SB XIII in 1979 Dallas vs Pittsburgh. I remember it well plus I hated pburg so I bet Dallas...... ;)

http://www.sportingnews.com/nfl/news/super-bowl-2014-odds-line-favorite-broncos-seahawks-betting-las-vegas-1979/14ujqgfsx04sw15iyzfzkbgx9f

.....Sporting News, in association with our Las Vegas-based partner The Linemakers, is sending writer Matt Hayes to Sin City for Super Bowl week to get the scoop on how the nation’s biggest sporting event plays in the world’s sports betting mecca. While in Vegas, Matt will go behind the scenes with the oddsmakers who post the numbers that we bet on, pro gamblers who make their living beating point spreads, and some of the movers and shakers who have helped shape the sports betting industry, and in effect, the NFL as we know it today.

To give you a taste of what’s to come, we offer you a look back at Super Bowl XIII between the Steelers and Cowboys, which was indeed an unlucky one for Las Vegas bookmakers and forever known as “Black Sunday” along the Strip.

LAS VEGAS — The year was 1979, and we were just getting used to Michael Jackson’s solo career while disco was being demolished. "Deer Hunter" won the Oscar for Best Picture, and Jon Voight won Best Actor for his role in Coming Home. Here in Las Vegas, Lefty Rosenthal, the inspiration for Robert De Niro’s character in "Casino," was permanently denied a Nevada gaming license, but he still carried on with various casino titles for three more years.

On January 21, at the Orange Bowl in Miami, the Steelers and Cowboys played in Super Bowl XIII, and the result for Las Vegas will always be remembered as “Black Sunday.”

The Steelers were 4.5-point favorites in that game. They were also -4 at times, and they were laying 3.5 at others. The Cowboys won the Super Bowl the prior year, but the Steelers beat Dallas in Super Bowl 10, three seasons prior. This really was a game for the ages, one that would determine which organization would go down as the dominant team of the 1970s.

And wouldn’t you know it, the game landed 4, with the Steelers winning 35-31. On this Super Bowl Sunday, the Las Vegas sports books got both sided and middled. Jimmy Vaccaro was a young bookmaker from Pittsburgh, running Michael Gaughan’s Royal Inn sports book, where he says, “we were both learning to run a book on the fly.“ But he remembers the day vividly......CONTINUED IN LINK.......

Or the Pros, where 16 Browns opponents get their cupcake with Paul Brown icing.

You got me thinking I (and the world) knew in 2016 that they were bad SU 1-15 but ATS? Well I checked....

The New England Patriots finished the regular season atop the NFL ATS standings with the best record at 13-3 ATS.

The Cleveland Browns were the worst bet all season and ended the season at 3-12-1 ATS. They pushed in their 27-24 overtime loss at Pittsburgh in Week 17 after closing as 3-point road underdogs after being bigger 'dogs all week. However, even if the Browns had covered, they still would have finished behind the San Francisco 49ers at 4-11-1 ATS; the 49ers covered their last two games to avoid the basement. The worst bet down the stretch was the Los Angeles Rams, as they failed to cover their last seven games to finish 4-10-2 ATS.

On an interesting side note, nine of the 12 playoff teams had winning ATS records. The three exceptions were the Seattle Seahawks and Detroit Lions -- who face each other in the wild-card round on Saturday night -- at 7-8-1 ATS, and the Houston Texans at 6-9-1 ATS.......

So a slam dunk betting against the cupcake BROWNS in 2016 I guess so, but what about 2017, hmmmm get even time baby!! :o

LMAO, there is absolutely ZERO chance the stains beat the Steelers.

I mean legitimately.....where does your team beat ours? What category are you anywhere close to stacking up? Not many if any....

Gotta love being a Steelers fan when the league gives you a gimmie on both the first and last game of the season.

Vegas lost 2.6 million on the Giants vs Pats super bowl in 2008. The outcome of this game did in fact have an effect on how much Vegas lost.

If Ben cant play opening day vs the Browns watch how fast the spread shrinks.

2.6 million? LMAO. In other words, Vegas broke even. Dude, Caesars gives more than 2.6 million in comps per day.

I call this the Goose Gosich philosophy of betting. Keep throwing the heat until someone hit it. I am inclined to keep betting against the Browns every week. i believe that if you make the same bet amount each week you will wind up tripling it in the worst case scenario. (4-12)

Even though that was in 1979 dollars multiply that several times for 2017 dollars when you say a few $million that's just great advertising for come to Lost Wages, NV and have a good time!

And the objective of betting lines is to get as close to 50/50 as possible BUT there are a few Sucker lines like 6' and 8 to try to influence where the money goes at least initally. Ever see the hour by hour movement charts? Check out vegasinsider.com they're listed there by gambling house.
