The Gipper
And in 10 years none of this will be a crime Or against NFL rules? I agree, just get all 50 states to go ahead and legalize it....and same sex marriage. It is going to happen. Just get it done with. Once upon a time casino gambling was ONLY allowed in Nevada, then NJ was added. Now, how many states do not authorize some kind of casino gambling? A handful at best. (but, I think sports book is still limited to Nevada, no?) And prostitution?

thenew23
And in 10 years none of this will be a crime Maybe not, but the drug will continue to ruin lives, in the same way alcohol ruins people's lives. Especially, as idiots will continue to smoke and drive, just like idiots drink and drive and we will continue to see innocent drivers killed by the action of somebody addicted to a "high" that isn't even that great... Well, treat it like we do alcohol then. Probably 50% of the violence in America is in gang wars over illicit drug dealing. Make the dealing legal, and a lot of that violent behavior becomes unwarranted and unnecessary. Sure, people are still going to be stupid and do bad/dumb things, just like they still do with booze. But at least a method of proper treatement and discipline could be installed to deal with it.

Especially, as idiots will continue to smoke and drive, just like idiots drink and drive and we will continue to see innocent drivers killed by the action of somebody addicted to a "high" that isn't even that great... is that anything like people ruining good drugs? more specifically, drug addicts? and alcoholics fuckin it up for all boozers and winos? i'm into holding people accountable, not substances. but before we go down the "guns don't kill people, they shoot shit" road...instead 23 let's cheers to something instead...like job security. if it must exist, this is as close to a positive byproduct as there is...w the added benefit of an opportunity to provide some help by way of counseling, guidance, and aid. ...AND Blackmon taking some of the spotlight off Josh...as the two will now be permanently enshrined as this decades biggest wanna-be celebrity NFL WR diva dumbassess. i think blackmon may actually have it worse. more slip-ups and way less talent. hell blackmon isn't even "Crabtree" good. he's like a present day Housh. Tour2ma
At least someone is a bigger fuck-up than Gordon in the league. Exactly... Not that Gordon can't end up where Justin has gone unless he snaps to it, but it does put the magnitude of Josh's current "problem" in perspective. Whatever awaits Blackmon should only reinforce whatever awaits Josh. Hopefully that sum total is enough...

sisky fringo
Driving while stoned will still be a crime. And the NFL will still ban players from getting high at least during the season, just like not coming into practice drunk. yeah but he could totally possess it and toke when his schedule allows it. he didn't get busted driving stoned or failing a test. "possession"...which technically we're already there legally in several states if he had residency and was just owning it and not partaking it there is a way to have been in the US right now and do this totally legally, and not some rare loophole...like he could have this easily in one of those states. just not smoke until his job allows. it blows my mind how different the states can be. they are really like their own little countries in essense. sisky fringo
so why is alcohol legal and weed not? in a word: money. because no one has lobbied (paid off the politicians) hard or heavy enough to change the federal legislation for people to be able to buy or grow weed yet, such as how other companies have. right now annheuser - busch, phillip morris, and snapple like it how it is..to name a few. Westside Steve
Well at least with legalization the legal profession, courts, police officers and phony rehab clinics can still cash in since weed stays in your system longer than alcohol it would be much easier to pop the dumbass marijuana smokers for DUI. And then all be violent criminals making huge money from the drug cartels will be forced to get jobs at Walmart! WSS
