JAFBF
It's more the QB that's wrong with this Team - Mariota won't fix it.

JAFBF
Winning in the NFL is rare for Heisman QBsSince 1950, 27 quarterbacks have been selected as the Heisman Trophy winner. Of those 27, only 20 started at quarterback in at least one NFL game. Among those 20, only four quarterbacks have a winning record in the NFL (regular season). Robert Griffin III is the only Heisman winner with a career passer rating over 90 in the NFL (90.8). Since 1950, the combined NFL winning percentage for quarterbacks who won the Heisman Trophy is under .500 (480-501-4, .489). http://www.nfl.com/photoessays/0ap2000000297440

Clevfan4life
no, no new QB for years. This team needs a retool at way too many positions. Giving up draft picks for another QB crapshoot is a great way to stay in the North basement.

Clevfan4life
just get Mariota out of your heads. We'd have to give up our draft for him. We need those two first picks badly. We need FA's too. No...no more getting a 1st round QB then watching him die horribly as we throw him in before he's ready. Our focus at QB should be retaining Hoyer, doing what we can to get him back to early season form...and continuing to coach up Johnny.

Giving up draft picks for another QB crapshoot is a great way to stay in the North basement. Did we need a retool at way too many positions when we were 6-3? It's the same damn team. The talent is present. What this team needs is consistency to build better unit cohesion, a retool on the defensive line only, and better depth so injuries don't have such a huge impact. Even if we finish 7-9 it's a hell of a lot better than last year and what most expected we could do. The WORST thing we could do now is blow the team up again. People have a hard time understanding that.. "Injuries can catch up with a team quick". Regardless that JM stunk.. It would be hard for any QB to win with this rag tag mash unit. Unsympathetic
What we need with those 2 first rounders are OL and DL. You know, the parts of the game that the Browns lost yesterday. Mariota isn't fixing either line.

lodilobo
johnny and both number 1s would do it I'd think. Great deal too! Maybe the NFL would adopt a new rule. I suggest...every draft, the top rated qb always goes to Cleveland. Every other team can pick after we get the qb. Drastic circumstances require drastic measures. Canton Mike
It was an ugly loss, but those happen. I'll still be a BROWNS' Fan next week, next year, & until I'm gone. Any alleged fan who turns on their team & players after a single loss needs to disappear. Mike
