BrownsfaninPa Posted November 24, 2014 Report Share Posted November 24, 2014 Hey fellow Browns fans. As all of you may have read, the Browns are getting new uniforms for the 2015 season. I have read that the new team ownership is looking to keep the tradition, but what that means is nothing, especially when NIKE has been doing some crazy things to team uniforms lately. Iam concerned that these new uniforms will look like the early uniforms from the 40's. The number with a shadow look, same as the Bengals have now I hope not. Leave the numbers the way they are. I would like to see the team wear the same pant design from 1984 & 2003. White pants with 2 brown stripes and one orange stripe in the middle. I want the jersey to remain all brown, no additional colors like grey or anyother color. I also hope the team brings back the white facemask, and get rid of the grey one. BrownsfaninPa Posted November 24, 2014 Author Report Share Posted November 24, 2014 If the team was looking to go in a new color direction, i would keep the brown, and change the orange to a mettalic gold. A gold helmet like the Saints, with 2 brown stripes and a white stripe down the middle. The facemask would be brown also. The jersey would be brown with the same stripe design as the Saints early 80's jersey sleeve design. The pants would be gold like the Saints, with one wide brown stripe. Negative on that... The plain brown pants still scream "LuLuLemon" to me... at a minimum they need outside seam stripes. But check our Oregon State's striped facemasks. I think they look cool, as a player I almost feel like they'd be annoying...almost distracting in a way. Easier to focus with a solid color. Probably a few pages back now. There were pictures of various helmet designs, and naked girls, and Ewoks, and conjecture, and debate. Check it out! This individual saw the 4- or 5 uniforms that Nike came up with and presented to Jimmy Haslam. He confirmed that although the Uniforms have NOT been leaked. He said that the set Jimmy liked the most was VERY similar to this RADICAL mock up He said these are definitely NOT the uniforms.. But they are the closest to what the Browns were leaning towards at the time. Apparently Jimmy Haslam likes the "all orange" Idea.. since then.. however.. The rumoured design has changed a little bit.. The uniforms are still going to be new and a bit "radical" to say the least.. but they will have some old school old "tone" touches.. Much like what a few posters referenced earlier (the shadowed numbers and lettering) So.. Based of the info that was provided (even Joe Banners most recent tweet that the new Uni's definitely have a "modern" twist) I would say that the uniforms look similar to what is shown above.. but maybe with some brown shadowing behind the numbers and the stripe on the helmet being more like what we have now Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
