gftChris
It's cold and damp enough over here that there's pretty much always mushrooms around. I don't know what's what though so steer clear.
One Post
We hunt Morels here this time of year. Season will last a couple of weeks and they sell for $20 a lb. they are good to eat, you slice them up and fry them in a flour or batter base. I use flour with cheap pancake mix and seasonings. DieHardBrownsFan
My liver doesn't need any bad mushrooms for a transplant. I'll stick to buying them in a store....
One Post
Psilocyben? No thanks. I ate 3 grams of them in the mid 90's and I tripped so hard I'll never eat them again. My buddy still laughs when we talk about the ants on the ceiling.

calfoxwc
Yes, I have found a dozen small ones from year to year --- back in the old days, the now-elderly folks used to go find them in our woods, which used to all be owned by our friend, the older farmer. Once you learn about them, there are the easiest to find and verify. I still think there should be bigger ones, but there never is. I wonder if somebody is beating us to it. and, I also wonder if they would show up dramatically with a battery operated blacklight or something.... Some years ago, we were camping in Kentucky on our big drive, and we found a box of Kentucky Kernel seasoned flour... haven't tried it with mushrooms - but it is outstanding for fish, pork, beef, vegatables... not very peppery... grrrrreat on bluegill.
