The Gipper
This one is simple, yet pretty hard: Simply tell us who the best player that the Browns have drafted in their history that came out of these schools. For the most part with these I am just going by their time as a member of the Browns, not with other teams. (Note, going basically by the PFR Career Average) Best player from: Alabama: Auburn: California Clemson: Florida Florida St. Illinois: Kentucky: LSU: Maryland: Miami Fla. (excluding Bernie Kosar, taken in Supp draft): Michigan: Michigan St.: North Carolina: Notre Dame: Ohio State: Oklahoma: Oregon: Penn St.: Purdue: Texas: Texas A&M: UCLA: USC: Washington: Wisconsin Final question: Who is the only player in their history that the Browns have drafted from an Ivy League school? The Gipper
Pitt Dave Pozzuoli Notre Dame Mike Golic Penn State Carl Nassib I didn't ask about Pitt...not sure who would be the best there. The Browns did not draft either Golic brother....Bob or Mike (and only Bob....Patriot choice I believe, played for the Browns) Way too early on Nassib. Penn State Tim Manoa...I knew the Browns had someone back in the 80's from Penn State... initially thought it was Puz. You'd have to give the best Penn State player drafted by the Browns to Courtney Brown though. Slim pickins as far as PSU players drafted by the Browns. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Penn_State_football_players
