THE BROWNS BOARD

OK It's Official....

This is absolutely the worst team in the history of the Cleveland Browns, and it's not even close. Guys, I go back to 1958 if you're interested. The suckful teams of the 70s don't hold a candle to this shit.

Yup, we're "building for the future". Well, let's just look at the NOW for a second, can we?

How many times did the Ravens run that slant over the middle in the second half- and we couldn't do a f**king thing about it? Pitch and catch. Or Learn how to tackle a guy on the first try? Wow, we stopped 'em after 4 Browns whiffed.

Nice move Hue bringing in McClown with the game in the balance- I KNEW he'd screw it up- and he didn't disappoint me. This guy is a career backup (make that BUM) for a reason. Should have been yanked for Hogan he played so crappy. More turnovers in one game than Kessler has all year. If you want to teach Cody how to lose a game, mission accomplished.

Saw turnstile Erving miss a few blocks- no surprise there. Drango missed one or two, but he's a rookie. Good Lord, the level of offensive and defensive ineptitude in the second half was enough to make me want to puke. Dead Boddy made a nice int- but sorry Sushi and DePudster, he ain't fast enough. We don't have a safety in the starting lineup that would even be a backup on any other team.

There- that's my rant. I feel better now. Just don't give me shit on how "well" the young 'uns played. We got beat- and embarrassed 28-7. That don't mean jack shit when you're 0-10 with 0-16 on the very realistic horizon. Wow, Collins had a decent game- in the first half.

Here's another depressing statistic. In every game our opponent has possession of the ball nearly twice as long as the Browns. This week Baltimore 38:36 Browns 21:24

First downs Baltimore 29 Browns 11

Touchdowns 3-1 Return yards Baltimore 95 Browns -2

And on it goes

But Kessler is not the reason they're 0-10! Quite the contrary; its Hue Jackson! Did you hear his lame excuse at the press conference? His "My way or highway" attitude is not very becoming! If we are to believe that they drafted Kessler to be the future then taking him out of a game where he wasn't the problem makes no sense. How is he supposed to grow as an NFL QB sitting on the sideline watching McCown get sacked, throw interceptions and batted down balls. McCown passer rating 19.1 to Kessler's 95

Boy am I glad I'm never watching another Browns game! After 55+ yrs as a fan and ex-season ticket holder; Enough! Putrid Hue and Podesta can eat Sushi for all I care! PEEE UUUUU HUE

Once again, this is year 1 of a complete rebuild from FO to waterboy, with the owner stating - again - that we build through draft (... no high priced free agents...)

What were you expecting?

I will admit, their early season close games - even late game leads - led me to believe they would have squeaked out a win or two by now, but this was always a losing year.

it's the price you pay for the life you choose.

I can't understand anyone who expected more than this given those parameters - let alone anyone expecting a 'winning' - dare I say Super Bowl - team in less than a single year.

Instant gratification was never an option.

Question. Since the Browns formed, why have they never needed a 5 year plan to win? Other teams just get a better coach. We gotta have a half decade "plan" that is doomed to fail because of owner brilliance.

no one said it's five years man.....

fuck it, give it ten years..... with the same people, after ten years we have to start winning.....

do you really think hue could go 0-100?

3 years from now i think we'll have a solid team..... but i'd like it if we replaced horton with someone a bit better and replaced the talent with some better......

Well the raiders are getting good and didnt need 5 fucking years to get there.. Quit spewing bullshit.. Im not buy 3,5 or 10 years plans anymore.. I've been waiting for the Browns to "get better" since Kink Artie pulled stakes in left town.. THERE ARE NO EXCUSES ANYMORE!

And we have tried 1-2 year turnarounds how many times now, nickers? Plenty. NONE OF THEM WORKED.

First, the Raiders are not a Super Bowl team this year. Book it. I am highly confident they don't even make the AFC championship. Their build is well underway, but I still think it needs one more year.

Secondly, they went 4-12 in 2012 and 2013. In Derek Carr and Khalil Mack (the major pieces of their build on each side of the ball)'s first season, they went 3-13. Last year, they went 7-9. So it's taken three years to build a contender.

AT LEAST GIVE THIS FRONT OFFICE AND COACHING STAFF THAT LONG, especially if that's the example you're going to bring up.

They don't deserve that long.. they suck.. \I never said they were super bowl bound.. but they're at least entetaining.. they have a "Quarterback".. Teams go as thier QB goes!

So which remaining opponent gives the best shot at avoiding 0-16?

Bills? Chargers?

It's gonna be hard to get a win when you have to factor in the stupidness of your own coach also.

This loss is more than just depressing. It has underscored, to me anyway, that we do in fact have the wrong coach. That is the worst part of this loss.

Ever watch someone in a casino on a losing run? The longer it goes the worse it gets until all the chips go into the pot in desperation.

Pretty much defines Hue Jackson. Very sad for Cleveland because Jimmah is quickly becoming a non-believer watching the meltdown in living color.

EDIT: Collinsworth was trying to give the benefit of the doubt last night, but it was obvious he felt he coaching moves were highly questionable.

Not sure if they can win. The secondary and O line aren't pro caliber.

Only way they win is to get a bunch of turnovers.

And the Raiders are in THIRD year of building. Do you not get that?

I hate to say this but the only glimmer of respect the leauge has for us is the Jackson Hiring. Players like Pryor will shut down and try to work their way out of Cleveland if we fire Hue. I know what i'm saying, that the black players main consideration for playing for the Browns is a black head coach. In a perfect world that wouldn't happen but Cleveland has nothing else. Nobody wants to play nor coach the Browns. Soemthing else you guys shoudl probalby get used to is the only reason hue came here anyway was because there was some iron clad guarantees he woudlnt' be tossed after 1 year and probably not for 2-3 eithers. Nobody as highly touted as Hue Jackson was is coming to the Browns. We fire Hue and it tells the league we were just funnin last year it's right back to old Brownies....just start pulling coaches off the st at that point.

Yep. Even aside from the race thing, commentators around the country say "this team's record isn't Hue's fault. There's no talent." I guarantee that's how coaches around the country see it too. You think they're gonna jump on this job if we fire Hue? Don't be Retarded.

with the secondary being relatively worthless...

what do those that are po'd expect?

They were winning a low scoring game in the first half again.

Then opposing offenses say "dammit, let's just start throwing the ball and run the score up".

Might draft 3 db's in the upcoming draft.

Agree on that.

This is hard to watch, but I feel it's going to be better next season. No sense bailing on our team folks.

We knew this would be a long season with the house cleaning. They aren't disappointing but there is no doubt in my mind it is a lack of talent and not coaching. We are not going to bring in any new HC and turn this team around until we get more talent.

I think the defense has a serious coaching issue. Faulty coverage, poor tackling goes a lot to coaching. Next year we need a new DC....no doubt.

It also goes to players. The coaches can't go out and do the tackling. Was it really O'Neils fault last year or he didn't have enough talent on defense? Of course we were paying for a defense that didn't perform with having the highest paid defense in the NFL at the time.

I think good coaching makes mediocre talent better. When you have bad coaching and questionable talent you have the Cleveland Browns defense. I guarandamntee you that if Dick LeBeau or Bill Belichick were our DC things would not look like this.

Jim O'neil is on the 49ers i believe and they may be the only team in the nfl with a defense worse than ours or equal.
