Do you guys think Little is that bad? Is it possiible he has worked on his weakness during the off season? Can Manziel make him better?

I didn't get to see but a couple of Browns games last year so I am wondering if Little can be a player.

I say give at least all of training camp and pre season. With that said, have a set goal in mind for targets, catches and drops. If he meets those goals keep him. If he doesn't send him on his way.

I was all ready to give up on him, but he's back in play now.

Maybe the new coaching staff can make a player out of him.

He looked great last year in camp, and the came out like a dud.

The guy could be great. He's displaying what separates the mediocre from the greats. It's not athletic ability, or how strong you are or how fast and how high you can jump. It's about the mental aspect of the game. Can the guy catch a football. Sure he can. We have seen him do it. But what's happening in between the ears is what is keeping him from catching all the others. That's Little's problem. He is missing it between the ears somewhere.

Quick story. I played soccer (laugh and get it out) from 3rd grade all through high school, and almost played at a small college. I was a goalkeeper. I was never tall, 5'10". But one of the things that made me stand out is that I was smart, and I used my body and hands correctly and I had a great sense of anticipation. The other thing is that I had great hands. I would catch anything thrown or kicked at me. And it happened because I would stand against a brick wall and thrown a soccer ball against it and just play catch with my self. I had great technique and very good eye and hand coordination.

To this day, I don't understand how these guys, with these gloves they use, are able to drop some of these passes that are thrown to them. And it's usually the easy passes they miss. Granted there are some tough balls being thrown at these guys and catching in coverage is even harder. But it's the open passes that just hit bricks for hands that just blows my mind.

He doesn't just drop passes. Little has problems getting off the line in press coverage. He also does not run crisp routes, and instead gets lazy. He is NEVER open to throw the ball to, and when the coaches have designed plays for him he drops the ball. His strengths have always been his run-after-catch abilities, and his size, but he has never been able to utilize them b/c it's hard to RAC if you don't catch it.

If you ever read anyones answers or commentary on Little that try shedding a positive light on him you will note liberal use of the words IF, COULD, POTENTIAL etc. Lets for once deal in the reality. HE CANNOT CONSISTENTLY CATCH A FOOTBALL. I dont know about the rest of you but I am guessing this is a key metric for a receiver. Whether Gordon is here or not Little needs replaced. Hell without Gordon we even more need someone who can consistently catch.

Everyone wants to talk about Little after the catch, but personally I havent seen him break many tackles. The best part of his game is blocking. He doesnt have the burst to seperate and his hands are just bad. Hes gonna have a hard time staying in the league once we finally dump him.

I like Greg Little once he's caught the ball. Guy has running back vision and is great with YAC. It's just him catching the ball that's the problem.

Considering he was recruited as and mostly played RB at UNC before switching to WR his last year, I'd hope he has good RB vision.

Unfortunately, he never lived up to his potential because of his hands. We can chalk that up to another 2nd round WR bust drafted by past Browns' regimes.

A big reason I didn't care that we passed on WR this year. Good receivers come from all over, but for some reason they don't come from the 2nd round of the draft... at least not for us.

I was about to say Josh Gordon, but then I remembered why we're having this debate in the first place.

What I noticed was how well Little catches the passes from Colt. Colt throws a very catchable ball, that may be part of the problem. He's had so many different QB's throwing the ball that he can't anticipate where the ball is going to be. Is it going to be a jump ball? A floater? A grounder, is it going to be behind him? It's hard enough to go across the middle and even harder when you're not sure where the ball is going to hit you. I've seen Little make some amazing catches. A great QB that is consistent and gels with Little will make Little elite.

I think the reason he always played better with McCoy and Wallace is because they threw a lot more catchable balls. This though was because they didn't have the arm strength to drive passes. Then you go to Weeden who did nothing but throw fast balls all the time. Greg dropped a lot of balls but he wasn't the only just the one who did it the most. Then after that you have back ups constantly coming in. Who are they going to throw to? Your #1 WR and TE and by the time we had those back ups who hadn't worked with Little, it was the Gordon and then Cameron show.

Of course that could only explain his high number of drops. He doesn't get great desperation from anyone and that's because he doesn't have good route running.

Greg Little was the 4th worst in the league with dropped passes the year Colt started 13 games. Look at the whole body of work not one positive catch vid.

Lol PoG.

You will never stop slobbering on McCoy's cock, much less Richardson's, will you?

Little lacks consistency, good route running that enables him to gain separation, and the ability to focus and concentrate on the mother fucking football being chucked right at his numbers, three things that pretty much every good, elite, and HoF receiver possesses. He has had how many seasons to develop? 4? 5? Not exactly sure but it has been a handful and he yet to demonstrate any marked improvement in those three areas. I could make the arguement that he frequently seems to regress and fall apart seemingly out of no where on a consistent basis.

There is probably a .9 percent chance Little ever develops into anything beyond a incredibly inconsistent, unreliable, sub par receiveing target. Plain and simple.

As for your love affair Colt McCoy, there is precisely a

-1000856 percent chance he develops into anything beyond a marginal, jelly armed third string Gumby of a quarterback. Sometimes I really wonder what fucking dimension you call reality because the vast majority of your thoughts, views, opinions, and manly ass pirate obssessions could only be dreamed up by a delusional, spaced out hummdinger with scrambled eggs for brains that are permanently locked in a acid trip within Wonderland. Get real ya fuck nut.

Anyways, that's my two cents, for all its worth (which is about two pennies).
