Watergate was all about following the money. So, too, will be Trump Russia.

Here's my guess:

  • Trump couldn't borrow a nickel in the 2000's.
  • Along came Deutsche Bank and it's "Private Equity Group".
  • Direct loans were made from that Group to Trump businesses and/or Trump.
  • Deutsche Bank has been fined 100's of millions for laundering Russian money; primarily through a bank in Cypress, a bank on whose board Wilber Ross, now Sec. of Commerce, once sat.
  • The private equity investors will turn out to be Russians.
  • Additionally Trump properties will be found to have laundered Russian money.

It's these financial hooks that opened the Trump Campaign to a "cooperative opportunity" with Russia and a relationship that has been denied over and over and over again... each step of the way... until faced with irrefutable evidence of it's existence.

It's Trump. It's Russia. It's within the scope of the Special Prosecutor's remit.

I figure we'll see how close my guess was in about a year.

I could not have stated it better. The financial tie is what Russia has over him, not the stupid hooker tape. And Mueller has all the right experts on that team.

And sorry cal but Mueller is about as honorable a man who's ever worn the uniform of a U.S. Marine. He is also a registered Republican and was approved as the best for this position almost unanimously by both houses of congress because of his unbending honesty, very much the opposite of the man in the Oval office.

EDIT: And thus the extraordinary steps the Republicans in the Senate have taken to protect Mueller from a firing by Trump. So cal, want to add them to your list of scum as well?

The double standard:

The most glaring example is, of course, the Hillary Clinton e-mail scandal, which is connected to broader claims of corruption involving the Clinton Foundation. President Obama told 60 Minutes in 2015 that Clinton had simply made a mistake: “I don’t think it posed a national security problem,” he said. The media bought it — and so did the Department of Justice, despite a mountain of evidence that she had been “extremely careless,” as Comey put it later.

Another example that still rankles conservatives was the IRS scandal, where there were clear violations of federal law, including the deliberate leak of confidential taxpayer information to partisan groups, as well as violation of conservatives’ civil rights. Yet the Department of Justice let former IRS official Lois Lerner, and her bosses, off the hook, saying the IRS was merely guilty of “mismanagement, poor judgment and institutional inertia” but no crimes.

There was also the Fast and Furious scandal, where the Obama administration, under the supervision of Attorney General Eric Holder, supervised the smuggling of weapons across the Mexican border, ostensibly to trace their path through drug cartels, but more likely as a pretext for gun control. Obama tried to use his executive privilege to cover up related documents, and Holder was held in contempt of Congress — but nothing more.

In the Stuxnet scandal, where the Obama administration leaked information about a computer virus that had been created to destroy Iranian nuclear centrifuges, the White House specifically rejected calls for a special counsel or special prosecutor. Retired Marine Corps General James E. Cartwright was eventually found guilty, but benefited from a lame-duck pardon by President Obama, setting a dangerous example for future leakers of national secrets.

And there were also the numerous times Obama administration officials lied to Congress. Holder lied to Congress, under oath, about whether he had discussed prosecuting journalists. But Holder had ordered the wiretapping of Fox News reporter James Rosen. Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper also lied to Congress about data collection on U.S. citizens. The Department of Justice never appointed a special counsel to investigate.

Statute of limitations for money laundering is 5 years. So no charges would be filed if your bold assertion is correct. So now you must connect, somehow, the "money laundering" from over a decade ago is related to election fraud in 2016 to make the investigation of said "crime" relevant to the story of collusion. Not going to happen and you're smart enough to know that. The only point of that is to convince his supporters not to vote for him in 2020, which is not the point of an "impartial" special prosecutor.

The reality is in a year, the Demokrauts will shift directions because they have nothing as usual and will start investigating whether he actually grabbed someone by the pussy.

I hated it when the Republicans went after Clinton on Whitewater because if there was something there we would have known during the campaign. Like that stone would have been left unturned, get real. They gained a grand total of 0, that's Z-E-R-O, supporters from that ridiculous investigation which must have been the underlying plan.

The obvious is if people want Trump out they are going to have to focus on the here and now. Stop wasting time and money on petulant nonsense.

My bold assertion: Trump will win the 2020 electoral college in a landslide because....

  • the left will find nothing to pin on him
  • the left will never win back the voters they insulted and overlooked without conceded they were wrong to do so, which they won't of course
  • the left will play identity politics even harder
  • the left's only platform is straight white people suck and should pay all their wages into taxes/reparations
  • the left completely disregards the culture of the MAJORITY of citizens it governs
  • the left continues to trot out leaders far more extreme than Trump could even dream of being
  • a large portion of the people that support the left either don't give a shit to vote or legally can't
