Russia re-opening Cuban Spy Base... This can't be good.

So here is some speculation. We all know that Cuba, Venezuela are communist countries. With them joining with Russia, potentially and very likely, could we see a communist push in South America? As corrupt as the Mexican gov't is, and with promises made from Russia, along with sympathies from illegal aliens from Meheeco, an invasion from the south and internal civil conflict could be a legitimate way to bring War to the U.S.

not much need for that, just walk over the Mexican border.

I guess that's my point right. The Russian government convinces the Mexican government to set up shop. Gives them what they want. Creates sympathy for illegal mexicans in the US. Then they create tensions within the borders and then when they want, they invade or launch missles while having sympathetic aliens willing to fight for the russian cause. It's a made for movie scenario and way out there. But think about it. Cuba and Russia together, is not a good thing either way. Welcome to cold war 2.0. And Washington is just going to let this happen...

Cuba's relationship with the US has begun to warm enough to the point where politicians and business leaders are floating the idea of reducing some of the trade restrictions. Venezuela is on the brink of economic crisis and lacks a charismatic enough leader, who is riding a dead mans coattails, to keep the country from becoming the most polarized in has been in decades. The capitalist faction in Venezuela has become a major power and either did/came close to winning the past election.

Unless Russia is willing to fork up billions upon billions of dollars to replace the US's foreign aid and trade profits, I don't see Mexico pissing off the greatest military power this world's ever seen, especially when they share a large boarder with them.

Considering Russia had to close the base due to monetary concerns, I don't see them either having the ability, or will, to spend the necessary money to ferment any neo-communist movement in South America. If anything they are reopening the base to freak out conservatives in our country to further the polarization of the political climate. It's much, much cheaper and much more likely to be successful.

Cuba is a poor country. They already are with Russia and have been for decades. With spy satellites, etc. this is just a propaganda move.
