  1. What is this then? "He makes things happen. He's a very exciting player. He was throwing the ball really well" He was extending plays, making plays, making plays down the field, putting the ball where it needs to be. He was making the defense work, so it was a good sight to see.' Obviously you didnt read it
  2. People saw the tweets and blurbs today and wrote Joe off as just being a nice guy.. but in the full article.. he went WAAAY deeper into it.. take a look Thank the lord for Joe Haden.. Dansby also came out with MORE stuff.. Clearly this isnt them just toeing the "team line" and "being nice" No its not a case of "What else are they going to say..." Because they did not have to go that far with it and you know it.
  3. Karlos Dansby also said today that Johnny can lead them to a superbowl Everyone got drunk on bashing Johnny... now that the smoke is cleared the truth is coming to light.. Johnny is still very much our future. Which is why we are hiring his pro-day coach as our QB coach, and that coach was cut for Brian Hoyer from the Patriots.. so he probably hates Brian.. I love it.. you cant write this stuff
  4. I mean.. But yeah.. lets stick with that.. it never works.. Someone who people hype up to be really good cant ever actually be good...
  5. Why does everyone seem to forget Johnny did pass the ball in college.. quite a bit actually.. I mean.. his offense was called the "AIR RAID" He didnt get the Heisman on his legs alone. For some reason everyone wants to lump him into a group of QBs that just run... I dont get it
  6. Manziel doesnt run like other QB's run.. He doesnt run like Griffin or Newton.. as they are both pretty much see a lane.. run through as fast as you can. Wilson is a backdoor type runner who will steal the green if you give it to him, and may change direction here or there. He runs more like Vick.. not AS fast.. but MORE agile. Johnny Manziel is almost the EXACT same height and weight as LeSean Mccoy.. and they both have great quicks and insane lateral movement. He is in a class by himself when running. Because unlike when other QB's run.. unless he is in a full sprint straight away... defenders cant get a clean shot on him because Johnny sets them up. He's too shifty and makes defenders hesitate before they bite. He runs like... ballet
  7. I know a secret.. well not really a secret.. But on both boards Ive done a bit of research. I found something. There is 1 consistent thing that seems to irk fans that hate Johnny more than anything. Something Johnny cannot control. I have a STRONG belief.. that a Majority of people hate Manziel not because of his off field antics.. Not because of his scrambling ability (because those same people are on Mariotas nutsack).. Not because of the money sign... Not because of the rambunctious style in which he plays.. But it is SURPRISINGLY due to one small thing.. His size. Most of the Johnny haters cannot STAND the fact that his is 5'11 and 2 quarters. They dont think it should be possible. They want a big burly man... because surely that the only type of QB that can lead us to the promised land. Dont believe me? Do a little research yourself.. there is nothing that irks Johnny haters more than his height Why? I dont know why it irks them.. when we bring up Wilson and Brees they act like our points were/are never posted.. or they treat them as paradoxes.. unable to be replicated. Ive even gotten a few of them to admit it... some of them have even said "If Johnny were 4 inches taller I could see it" Its really interesting.. its like some sort of reverse over-compensation.
  8. No.. Johnnys Pass should not have been picked.. he displayed what is called arm strength.. velocity.. you know.. the anility to throw the ball faster with more spin.. giving the dedense less time to react.. the ball went through a perfect window.. hoyer couldnt of made that throw. He doesnt have the arm
  9. That makes me feel even better about it. Tell em how it is Johnny!
  10. See this is the kind of stuff im talking about "exactly why I did not want to draft him high and still believe the odds of his success at the Pro level are not good."... what is that? Johnny has the same odds as everyone else. Actaully.. his odds are better than most others due to his draft vstatus.. as there are more successful QBs drafted in the first round than any other round... Period. Also to addres your Brian Hoyer comment.. c'mon.. do you really think if Brian Hoyer wasnt from Cleveland that he wouldnt have been pulled by now? Honestly? He never would have had had as much fan support if he wasnt from here... it has been made a very big deal. Yes his play backed it up.. but it wouldve been much EASIER for the staff to make a change if he wasnt. weaknesses? Johnny as said by the coaching staff is the epitome of a profesisonal in building. Hes in the playbook.. comes in early stays late gets extra reps in with the WRs.. he's done all that. o Im not sure where you are getting this from? The only difference between him and Hoyer is Brian has a wife.. Johnny doesnt.. so when Johnny is out on the town.. Brian is home watching movies with his wife. How does these 2 things affect football? Do you think Brian is at home breaking down film with his wife.. going over X's and O's? get real.. they all have free time.. just because Johnny spends his out and about doesnt make him any less of a professional
  11. At least I know what Im saying isnt falling on Deaf ears. Im not saying Johnny is "Cant Miss".. There is no such thing.. not even Luck or Manning were "Cant Miss" prospects. What I am trying to curb is people calling him a bust and saying he has no chance in the NFL before he even sets foot on the field. Im guessing the raging against Manziel is all Hyperbole due to the neccesity of protecting the Home Town Hero who is winning us games.. I get it.. really I do.. we are winning and I am happy, and I thank Brian for all he has done. However I just cant help but feel due to some of the responses in this thread and others that for some reason.. SOME people.. WANT Johnny to fail. They WANT our first round draft pick who we traded up to get to fail.. why? BEcause they just dont like him. They dont like the way he plays, or the way he walks, talks, etc.. Which I can understand for some types of people.. but dont wish for him to fail. He wears Brown and Orange.. and as long as those are the colors he represents.. we should support him
  12. Tim Couch ran the Air Raid.. Nick Foles.. Kevin Kolb..John Beck.. Case Keenum..Brandon Weeden..Geno Smith.. Max Hall.. Not the best track record I will admit However.. I would also like to talk about Case Keenum.. EXTREMELY underrated in the NFL.. the kid put up #'s but is getting looked over in my opinion.. Hes pretty good
  13. Hoorta.. Why did we trade up to select Johnny? Did we do it because we think he will boom or bust? Height means absolutely nothing... 0... zilch.. Russell Wilson, Drew Brees, Frank Tarkenton, Otto Grahm, Doug Flutie, Michael Vick, Joe Theisman, Eddie LeBaron, Sonny Jurgensen... I mean it goes on.. Short QB's that actually get drafted end up playing pretty well. RG3 isnt short.. he's average coming in at a shade over 6"2 The toss ups to Evans? Sure.. that happened on a handful of occasions.. just like any QB.. all QBs toss balls up every now and then. Johnny almost every record there is. He put up POINTS.. hes FAST.. he is ACCURATE.. he has a GREAT ARM.. and he has excellent INSTINCTS.. he has a HIGH IQ... he is a LEADER.. he WORKS HARD (like before training camp he was working with the QB trainer every day in the sun for 6 months leading up to the draft)!! He PLAYS HARD! He NEVER GIVES UP (like on Gruden QB camp.. John showed Johnny his favorite play.. when Johnnys RB fumbled the ball.. Johnny ran down the field, STRIPPED THE BALL from the defender... then another defender picked it up.. Johnny got up and continued to pursue and took him down! Thats heart!) Every one of the things I wrote up there are true.. thats why he was worth a first rounder.. and that is why he is worth your time as a fan. Ive been an avid Browns fan all my life.. I joined this forum for the first time back in 2006 when I was 17 yearls old. Im not a "Manzealot" Im a BROWNS FANATIC. I want what is best for this team MOVING FORWARD. I think that whats best.. is JOHNNY MANZIEL
