MLD Woody
Damn, that pay is ridiculous. Poor RPI students. Paying a high ass tuition while the value of their degree drops
sadbrownsfan
Damn, that pay is ridiculous. Poor RPI students. Paying a high ass tuition while the value of their degree drops Dunno how the value of their degree is dropping, RPI is the 5th best engineering school in the country(ur Michigan is 9th) according to USA today http://college.usatoday.com/2014/08/20/the-top-10-engineering-colleges-in-the-u-s/ I couldn't find any non-political sites that are showing how much debt they are actually in, but S&P rates their credit at A- with a negative outlook http://www.bizjournals.com/albany/news/2014/10/17/debt-and-pension-burden-lead-to-negative-outlook.html Figured out why this is "news" though: "In 2014, United States President Barack Obama appointed Dr. Jackson as Co-Chair of the President’s Intelligence Advisory Board. The Board assesses issues pertaining to the quality, quantity, and adequacy of intelligence activities; the effectiveness of organizational structure, management, and personnel; and the performance of all agencies of the federal government engaged in the collection, evaluation, or production of intelligence, or the execution of intelligence policy." http://www.rpi.edu/president/profile.html
MLD Woody
That list just ranked MIT 4th, behind Missouri S&T. I'm not sure how reliable it is
LogicIsForSquares
Obama was right for picking her for that Intelligence Advisory Board. If anyone knows a swindle, it is that lady.
sadbrownsfan
That list just ranked MIT 4th, behind Missouri S&T. I'm not sure how reliable it is I grabbed it from their site, so probably best ranking for them, did a google search and they are ranked(depending on the list) from 5th the list above to the top 20.... sadbrownsfan
http://www.businessinsider.com/highest-paid-college-presidents-2014-12 Full list guess normally she is in the top 10 but a bonus kicked in of nearly 6mil put her at the top. "While RPI president Jackson is often included in The Chronicle's annual report, she is not usually this high up on the list. In 2010, Jackson extended her contract at RPI, and according to The Chronicle, "A large portion of her compensation in 2012 came from the pay out of nearly $5.9-million that had been set aside over 10 years as a retention incentive." MLD Woody
I grabbed it from their site, so probably best ranking for them, did a google search and they are ranked(depending on the list) from 5th the list above to the top 20.... I figured that must have just been the best ranking for them. I look at these kind of rankings now and then, and I've never seen them that high or heard of the publication that did the ranking. Putting MIT at 4, and not even having Stanford in the Top 10, means that list is full of shit. The QS World Rankings - http://www.topuniversities.com/subject-rankings and US News - http://colleges.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-colleges/rankings/engineering are usually the most widely reported rankings. Obviously it isn't a perfect science. #4 isn't 100% better than #7 or anything like that. Really you just have to look at the ratings in "tiers" more or less. #4 is pretty much equal to #7, but obviously better than #20, etc.
calfoxwc
and...... she can afford to donate $$$$$$$$$$$$ to the Clinton/Obamao funds. Next, he'll appoint her to the supreme court or something. Who cares if she doesn't have a law degree.
