The Russians did it

From what I've been reading in the news over the past couple of weeks,

hackers have targeted both political parties. While the DNC email fiasco is

hilarious, I suspect the Republicans are privately shitting their pants over what

may be out there.

I don't know if Russia was involved or not but I would not dismiss it out of hand....this is not like the vast right wing conspiracy nonsense. I am partisan enough and happy to see anything negative like this happen to the democrats but if it is Russian interference in our election that is a different story.

On another note can there be any doubt Clinton's classified emails on her private server were not hacked?

CHILLING: Evidence Mounts of Russian Involvement in DNC Document Leak

Pay attention to how everything with the Wikileaks release of DNC documents shakes out. It’s no small thing when foreign entities are capable of tapping into government emails and then release them, at their will. The timing of the release has set the DNC on their heads, at a time when a national election is at stake, and all this should prompt a lot of questions about who and why.

The “why” is up for speculation, but it does seem suspiciously as if someone is trying to orchestrate the outcome of our nation’s election, which could only mean they’re doing it for their benefit.

Hmm - a private low security server setup by interns in a basement for the secretary of state of the US that was used for work-related communications.

Russia has one of the best intelligence agencies in the world - if they wanted in, they would have got in. And given the nature of the people involved I suspect the Russians would have had interest in getting in....

I'm sure a lot trash is out there regarding corruption on both sides, but Trump probably wouldn't be implicated in anything crazy related to the RNC - if anything they tried to game the system to beat him.

Hillary is much more likely to be directly implicated in any scandalous DNC stuff that comes out - the Clinton's have been around for so long that they have friends everywhere.

Trump isn't stupid. Putin may (if he was behind this) think it is going to benefit him, but Trump will get the best of it, you can count on it.

Precisely the point I was making before. From Politico:

"Cybersecurity experts have warned for years that campaigns and political parties are woefully weak in securing their data, despite the wealth of sensitive information they carry in their computer networks and email accounts. It’s an ideal scenario for all kinds of cyber wrongdoers — foreign adversaries trying to swing elections, intelligence agencies seeking information on future officials, hacktivist groups looking to grab attention and black market hackers trying to make a quick buck.

The DNC hack “is probably just the tip of the iceberg about what’s happening out there,” Ely Kahn, a former cybersecurity director for the National Security Council, told POLITICO last month, shortly after the DNC disclosed that its computers had been breached by hackers believed to be based in Russia. Kahn is also co-founder of the security firm Sqrrl, which tracks cyber threats."

OBF alludes to "the Wikileaks release of DNC documents." Does anyone have any doubt that there is someone

prepared to release RNC documents? And does anyone think that the timing of the DNC release is mere coincidence? If so, I have some prime beachfront property in Lower BFE, WV that may interest you.

So, what sort of event would the holders of RNC documents/emails be waiting for in order to do a document dump which would do maximum damage to the Republican nominee? The night before a crucial debate in a close presidential election? 2 or 3 days before the presidential election?

Republicans need to consider these questions before they celebrate too much over the Democrat's misfortune/idiocy.

BREAKING! FBI believes RUSSIA hacked DNC, leaked emails to DAMAGE Hillary and help Trump!!

Hillary camp made the shocking accusations over the weekend and now the FBI is confirming that they also suspect Russia hacked the DNC and leaked emails through Wikileaks in order to damage Hillary and help Trump in the election!!

The FBI suspects that Russian government hackers breached the networks of the Democratic National Committee and stole emails that were posted to the anti-secrecy site WikiLeaks on Friday. It’s an operation that several U.S. officials now suspect was a deliberate attempt to influence the presidential election in favor of Donald Trump, according to five individuals familiar with the investigation of the breach.

The theory that Moscow orchestrated the leaks to help Trump, who has repeatedly praised Russian President Vladimir Putin and practically called for the end of NATO, is fast gaining currency within the Obama administration because of the timing of the leaks and Trump’s own connections to the Russian government, the sources said on condition of anonymity because the investigation is ongoing and developing quickly.

“The release of emails just as the Democratic National Convention is getting underway this week has the hallmarks of a Russian active measures campaign,” David Shedd, a former director of the Defense Intelligence Agency, told The Daily Beast. Shedd said that additional leaks were likely, echoing an opinion expressed by U.S. officials and experts who said that the release of emails on Friday may just be an opening salvo.

So, that’s kind of a big deal. And I’m betting we won’t do one damn thing about it because Obama is much too interesting in riding out his term without troubling himself with actually defending America.

Unfortunately, because of the recent decision by Director Comey to let Hillary off the hook, we must entertain the possibility that the FBI is merely saying this to give Hillary some cover in the election.

On the other hand, Donald Trump Jr. just went nuts when the accusation was made, calling it “the biggest lie” he’s ever heard. Really? Methinks the Junior doth protest too much…

I admit I am partisan and usually happy to see anything bad happen to the democrats but if Russia is involved in this trying to influence our election that cannot be tolerated either.

Russia didn't write the emails, even if they're the hackers

if it's true russia did the hacking...

then it's all the more a crisis that her emails

went to the russians

on her PERSONAL UNSECURED SERVER, which DID have

top secret docs, a LOT of them, there, and she lied

when she denied there were any.

she lied. she's a liar. There is no disputing it now.

Won't stop Tour from trying, but good luck with that.

It was the russians, but it has nothing or very little to do with trump. Putin could care less who our president is. This was personal between him and hillary, read up about it. Im too tired to post links rigjt now, but those two have history we werent aware of.

As far as complaining about a foreign country screwing with our elections......uhhh color us kettle then. The U.S has been screwing with foreign elections like a full time job fir more than half a century. If releasing hacked emails rubs u wrong, think about how an orchestrated coup or a well timed assassination would sit with you

If they did... where are they?

Not sure about the latter as a motivating factor for the FBI, but I am sure the former is bunk. The Prez is not going to lose to Putin again after losing Ukraine to him... Oh wait... he didn't...

How much should President Obama expend in retribution for a hack of the DNC e-mail system?

Won't stop Tour from trying, but good luck with that.

Damn straight, Skippy... I'm your huckleberry...

What was the tally? Eleven classified e-mails? Out of 50k?

Not enough to keep me awake tonite... or any other nite?
