Directors producers and screenwriters are not necessarily bound to historical accuracy. I would also assume that anyone with the wherewithal and desire to make a motion picture probably has a definite opinion one way or the other and can easily craft the film to support whichever side that may be. What Cisco is asking for, I presume as he comes from a military background, is a call to arms from moderate Muslims to fight the extremists. I actually agree wholeheartedly with him in spirit. I'm just not optimistic it will ever happen. Where will this movement come from? Where will they get weapons? Who will train them? Keep in mind the governments of these countries will oppose, not support, them. Many people in the middle-east have been tamed into submission by the dictator overlords the USA has supported over the years. So it falls on the governments that have controlled the people to combat ISIL and their ilk. Another huge problem in the ME is one of unity. Years of divide & conquer there, combined with lack of resources that promotes competition over cooperation, have led to Arab countries being able to unite against the terrorist threat as effectively as everyone would like. Unfortunately, It is ingrained in the very fabric of the culture now. Anyone should be able to see right through these muslim hypocritical pigs. The only reason there is "a call" for moderate Muslims to take up arms against extremists is that because due to the emergence of ISIS, the violence and killings between Muslims has escalated to an all time high....but Muslims killing Christians?, eh no biggie...carry on. The call to arms against terror by muslim leaders should have taken place the day after 9/11. Furthermore, many "moderate" Muslims are only moderate in the sense that they dont take part in terrorism and killing... they believe in it though. Marco Polo had it right....
