THE BROWNS BOARD

Pettine has been the best coach in a while, anything beats Shurmurball and the Chud implosion the last half of last year's season. Hoyer has his good moments and his bad moments, still the best QB Browns have had in recent years. It will be exciting to see where the Browns finish, even 8-8 is better than anything we've seen in a long time. The team is finally heading in the right direction. I hope no one panics and pushes the reset button yet again.

Defending shit play?

We look like hell and you say headed in the right direction?

God you're embarrassing.

yes, I think being 6-4 in November with tons of starters injured is heading in the right direction. Much better football than what was seen the last few seasons. It looks rough at times but can you see Weeden making the same comebacks Hoyer has? Can you say that the team is worse now than it was last season? Can you say that you honestly believe Pettine is a worse coach than Shurmur?

I really think that the Browns are trying to not win. Call me crazy but it looks like we have a "next year" attitude.

If we were trying not to win we wouldn't have today, that's for sure.

Coaches went wrong with clock management, cundiffs 60 yarder, and forgetting the run.

Everything at the end of the first half. Kicking the FG the 2nd time was the dumbest thing i have ever seen. Calling a timeout on the the last drive was not the correct call. it worked out but it was still a dumb call.

Mike Pettine acknowledged that it wasn't the best decision during his press conference. He said that Cundiff told him that he pulled up early because he knew Atlanta was going to call a timeout. He said that Cundiff said that he could make the kick the second time. He believes in his players and the players believe in him. The play calling will come as he grows as a coach. He will know when to get on the coordinators and when to let them handle things as time goes along. Would you prefer a coach that has no faith in himself or the team? Because if you do we can bring back Shurmur or Palmer for that matter. This team will make you rip your hair out but at least it's for the right reasons for a change. Not some deer in the headlights crap. He admits when he makes bad calls or doesn't manage something well. I think if this team finishes 8-8 or better he should be a serious candidate for coach of the year.

You Krazy...

Mike Pettine isn't a good coach and Brian Hoyer isn't an accurate QB.

That coaching in the last minute was fire-able.

Do you ever underreact to something?

Give me something other than stupiest post ever.

Merely Top Ten???

3 straight NFC championship trips including a trip to the Super Bowl with a 45-13 record isn't cut out for the NFL?

He might be a fucking asshole and hard to work with, but that's damn good coaching if you ask me.

Should've clarified... he's not cut out for long term success in the NFL. It would seem that his act has worn pretty thin in SF and that's why he isn't cut out for the NFL at this point for the long term. Maybe he'll just keep jumping from team to team but that's what I meant.

walterwhite the king of the flip flop. i'm starting to think you are bipolar.

one week you scream how pettine is the best coach we've had in awhile blah blah blah, and hoyer is a very good QB.

next week after a loss they both suck balls.

then on a week of a close win you don't know where to go. i've seen at least 4 different threads with 4 different walters in them.

you couldn't make up your mind if you had one, which you don't.

No, they overcame Pettiness horrible clock management and Hoyer's poor play and they pulled out a nail biter on the road. In his interview, Gordon said he just wanted to prove to his teammates that he was willing to do anything to win including running the ball. The team with all these injuries is getting a taste for winning and they like it. And here's a shout out to the backups who DID THIER JOBS!

F#ck the Ravens! We got Crow!
