cambridgeho
As long as they both are watchable and provide the fans with cheers instead of jeers, then I can careless who wins first. It would be great though, if we did it in the same year. Clevland who implode with fandamonium.

Harry Buffalo
I like Joe's attitude, but it is a whole lot easier to put together a championship NBA team in 1 season, than it is to put together a championship NFL team in 1 season. Having said that I don't see an NBA title next season regardless.
miktoxic
^right. hopefully they keep wiggins and wait on love...so that's a year right there. please dan gilbert, don't start wheeling and dealing to get some huge FA (for a year) when you're not that close to begin with. thenew23
There isn't a player in the NFL that can have the impact Lebron can have on the NBA. Having him on your roster immediately makes your roster good enough to make the finals. I mean seriously, he went with a supporting cast of Z, Gooden, Sasha, Booby, E.Snow, Hughes, Andy, and Donyell Marshall in 2007... Other than Z, I would rather have Kyrie, T.Thompson, Waiters, Andy, and Wiggins over just about anybody on that roster...
miktoxic
i'd much rather have z back than 'side-show bob'(varejo). i don't understand why he is even still on the roster. must be a cleve favorite. from here he looks like shit.

Demoted
Seems folks agree with me and not you... Shocker! NFL you need a QB... Browns don't have.NBA you need one of the best players... Cleveland has that. Easy to see who would win first. Not to mention the difficulty difference alone it is to get into the post season in the NFL/NBA
tml1138
Should an NBA title come to Cleveland first...it will do nothing to satiate my appetite for the Browns to win it all. Absolutely Zero.

Varajao is much more athletic than Z.....Z was great in his day. But I really want the cavs to get an honest big man in the middle.. A Moses Malone type or a Pat Ewing type dominant center. Andy is incredibly underrated, IMO. At least when he is healthy. He is an absolute rebounding machine and hustles like no other. Opposing teams hate him because he never stops moving and is all over the court defensively and crashes the offensive boards. I would still take Z, no doubt. There's a reason his number is in the rafters now. But to say Andy is a sideshow is pretty inaccurate.
Flyin J
Seems folks agree with me and not you... Shocker! The poll and your statement are not the same thing. It is much more difficult to win an NBA championship than the Super Bowl. For proof just look at what percentage of teams have won one in each. NBA is dominated by one player or one team for long stretches, so as I said, the Cavs are favorites to win one because were lucky enough to have the best player on the planet. Tour2ma
Varejao is the Cav's bird-man... he a role player, and in his role he's good... not $9mm/yr good IMO, but good.

Westside Steve
I would say the Cavaliers are the best bet. Reason being there are many number one pick players on the team as wel as James who is probably the best to ever play the game. And basketball is a game in which three great players make a hell of a difference. Not so much with football even if Johnny Manziel turns out to be the next Joe Namath. And so far he has done absolutely nothing. Neither has this coaching staff nor anyone on the team. I'm hoping the Browns go to and win the Superbowl this year! but... I was referring to the posts made after you proclaimed me to be "wrong". 2. Sorry... but I think everything you are saying about "one player blah blah blah" is merely supporting my original statement... which was... "It's easier to pull together a champion in the NBA." Flyin J
After looking it up, it was actually a lot closer than I thought. In the NBA, 13/30 teams have never won a championship, 8/30 have never appeared in the Finals. In the NFL, 13/32 teams have never won a Super Bowl, while only 4/32 have never appeares in one. But, the NFL has much more parity than the NBA and its not even close. Much easier to go from a bottom feeder to a contender in the NFL than the NBA.. MasterDog
The NFL on the other hand requires a more complete TEAM game. The word team in the NFL starts from the TOP down... Owner, GM, Coaches, Defense, Offense, Trainer, Waterboy, Cheer leaders <-- Sorry, but who doesn't that?

Why the Cavs have a serious interest in Love. Miami proved you can win a Championship without a dominant Big man, but it's a lot easier with one. BTW, in the NFL- yes you win with a great team, but it certainly helps if you have a great QB along for the ride.
