  1. I'm going to throw my 2 cents in here. Johnny has so much talent that was spoiled by his entitled rich kid attitude. With his head on straight, he is going to do wonders. Against the Jets, I saw the Aggie Johnny including the fumbles. He learned quick that this ain't college. Last week more Heisman Johnny but he protected the ball. The kid is amazing and anyone who watched him in the SEC knows that. We threw another SEC QB to the wolves many years ago, trouble was, back then we had no offensive line so anyone was committing suicide back there. Too bad we ruined Couch (he wore 2 also didn't he?)
  2. It really was that long ago. Wow You might be right but defenses that lead the league and a strong running game coupled with a not great QB that doesn't make stupid turnovers, I think it could be done. Anyway, that was the Brown's super bowl.
  3. Gang, there is a man down in Baton Rouge that is seriously considering starting a QB who had a 42% completion ratio and single highhandedly cost us a bowl game against Notre Dame. I really don't understand what coaches see in QB's. Not anything we see that's for sure. BTW, down here O'Brien got pissed at the Texans fans for knocking his QB's (Hoyer, Savage and Mallet) " The offense is always evolving" and we think we have problems in Cleveland. Foster is also out for 7-10 weeks. Please honey, NFL Ticket is on sale right now.
  4. Didn't the Ravens win a title with Trent Dilfer?
  5. It's a shame we live in such a public world. Everything is TMZ. Johnny can't even crap without us knowing what color it is. I wonder what it would have been for Stabler, Baugh or any of those other hard partiers.
  6. No dude, it means to play like Drew Brees or Andrew Luck or Andy Dalton Chase Daniel or Nick Foles or RGIII. Oh I'm sorry WAR - Ryan TannehillThe Browns have had 3 (losers), both McCowns and that idiot from U.T. BTW, the A & M cheerleaders are probably the hottest and quite possibly the loosest in college football.I can say that and I went to LSU.
  7. He took the money and ran. Maybe he will bring a semblance of a D to Aggieland. I'm interested in watching what Steele does with what he has to work with. I'm still worried that Miles will be turned on again by Jennings.
  8. Jesus, my boss, the manager of inside sales, our R & D manager and a bunch of engineers thought Johnny was finer than sliced bread. I loved watching him both games against 'Bama (loved shutting him out in the second half twice when he played us). He was stupid last year, one of those wanh wanh they're forcing me to change my style . . . I agree putting a square peg in a round hole won't work. Design the offense around his strengths and turn him loose. BTW, here's real intelligence, McCown will lead us to the promised land - He might be a Texas boy but he sure don't play QB like one.
  9. Yeah, that was me that repeating what my boss showed me. The rehab just gets you away from the problem immediately. The longer he stays, the longer he stays away from his "friends". When he gets out it will probably be recommended he do 90 meetings in 90 days. Let's talk tough to do. Shit that takes a lot of energy just finding a meeting each day to fit your schedule. In 120 days I was good to go. That was August 1994. It can be done. I've been clean and sober for almost 21 years by using the tools I've learned and applying them in situations that could get me in trouble. What I said about Mathieu. He came over to Houston and did John Lucas' (the NBA player and coach) program. Go back to Baton Rouge and get right back into it with that bum Jordan Jefferson. 3 times it took him until Patrick Peterson took him under his wing. I hope Johnny finds somebody on the Browns that could do that.
  10. Casserly can be a classic moron at times. Tony Boselli in the expansion draft in Houston. Offensive tackle that had a shoulder made out of glass. He knew that and still drafted the guy. I don't see it but it would be nice. I've seen the guy play a number of times and he is good. I just wonder how good he is with a mediocre front line because that's what we would have to give up to get him.
  11. My boss, an Aggie grad and die hard fan, showed me current tweets from JFF's girlfriend out partying, getting wasted in College Station, Austin and Houston. I've been clean and sober for 21 years - He will have to dump her or it will never take. In fact he has to do what Tyrann Mathieu did - dump all his old friends from N.O. and Baton Rouge, re-dye his hair, shed the Honey Badger mantra and concentrate on FOOTBALL. Mathieu was on track to join his daddy in Angola prison. I am sure glad he changed.
  12. Agreed. It is fortunate that Johnny caught on at an early age that he has a problem. He needs to change the people he runs with though. You can't keep the same friends and get clean. The Honey Badger found that out after he got kicked out of LSU. Patrick Peterson and John Lucas (the former Houston Rocket) got him straightened out. His pal Jorden Jefferson never did figure it out.
  13. Why does anyone care? I'm glad Bobby Layne or Paul Hornung didn't play in the age of Twitter or even cell phones.
  14. Not hiding under a rock. I wouldn't call myself a "fanboy". I didn't join this board because of Johnny, I joined because I am a lifelong Browns fan and I hate to see what is happening to us.The Texans game was bad enough but the Colt game was the last straw. Johnny can play, there is no doubt. The "fanboys" watched him tear up the best conference in college football with no defense what so ever. The only team in the West he couldn't beat was LSU mostly in part due to great defensive lines (the first one anchored by Mingo). Johnny had a coach at A & M (Sumlin) who could rein him in, keep him focused. He is immature but when he finally figures it out, I'd rather have him on my team than having to play against him.
  15. Ask any Aggie and he will tell you the same thing. Pigeonhole Johnny into an archaic offensive system and force him to adapt and he probably won't succeed. He won the Heisman with his ability to improvise but he had receivers who were willing to help, who could catch the ball and would work to get open. I see none of that in Cleveland's receivers. All the "pundits" said the same thing - the Browns have no worthy receivers save for Gordon and he was suspended for so long.
