THE BROWNS BOARD

Season Opener Roll Call!

It's a bit early but if you are going to the season opener, you pretty much know by now. So its roll call time!

I will be tailgaiting in the west lot with the Celek family (family of Philidelphia Eagles starting TE Brent Celek). He is a family friend and his family lives in the area so it worked out pretty well that way. Thought about wearing my Eagles hat with my Browns jersey but I just can't do it.

For the game I will be sitting in Section 102, Row 26 (very back against the wall), Seats 11-12.

I love these seats (season tickets). At the left corner of the endzone, on the side opposite the dawg pound at the bottom level at the back. Perfect view.

If anyone wants to meet up with me before hand or during or whatnot, feel free. After the game I will be going down to the Eagles locker room as it will have to be before hand.

So where are you sitting/tailgaiting?

I will be in my season ticket seats. Section 149 row 27. I love my seats because they are in the closest section to the soutwest enterance. I walk in, go up about 10 steps and I am in my seats. No ramps or escalator or any walking through the concourse at all.

I probably won't be tailgating though. I usually only tailgate once or twice a year.

( the view from my seats in my avater picture)

We're in Section 342, right above the tunnel where the Browns enter the field.

I'll be joining Stan's tailgate at his favorite spot in the Flats near the Flat Iron Cafe. i know i can count on him to get there early enough to save me a parking space.

Season Tickets, Section 111, Row 9. I'll be joining Roach, Stan and the Brits. Anything planned yet? Post it on the Tailgate page. :)

I'll be there in my seats. Sect 534, row 19. I'll be sitting with Pavo Joe. I am picking him and the Brits up early for a walk through of the muni lot, then join the regulars in the flats. We should be there by 8am +/- a few minutes.

Still waiting to see whether I will be sitting in my seats or somewhere else but I will be there with the BrownsBoard family on Saturday and Sunday. It has been many years since the first Browns Board night out to kick off the season. Looking forward to it as much as the game. The best part of opening weekend for me is that it is the only time of the year where we can still be hopeful that we will have a competitive team. We all predict our greatness and smile before reality smacks us in the face at 1:05 on Sunday. :) Let's hope this year is when that all changes.

I am going to talk to Roach for the full 5 hours of the tailgate so that he decides to cook again next year. :)

When did it become Stan's tailgate ?

They replaced Roach's grill with the margarita machines that Stan stole from Maya's when it became a gay bar.

There may even be tiny umbrellas for the drinks this year.

Just to confirm on the tailgate:

What is the ETA on the Eastland Inn on Saturday (it is Saturday, not Friday, right?)

Also, on the food for the tailgate, it is now BYOF, right?

I appreciate what roach and sperk have done in the past, and will miss it. I am not a griller, so I guess I will have to improvise.

Also, I was thinking of taking my wife up for our first visit to the casino befor going to the Eastland.

Any of you that have been there: Where do you park, what is the cost for parking. How quickly will I blow through my budget of $50.00?

We will have food at this particular party, pizza and/ or some other catered food. No grilling. Come and enjoy.

I have gone, occasionally, like if someone has an extra ticket. That happened once with Pavo Joe last year. But usually I prefer to go home and watch the game on the comfort of home. The tailgates usually break up about noon, and that gives me a chance to get home before kickoff as I live about 35-40 miles down I-77. I will keep those games you mention in mind however. What are those dates?
