I Watched the 2 games posted here and a few other videos and I came away more impressed with this kid than the other top draft prospects of which I've watched more than few videos on each. I've been a supporter Luke Falk but I am REALLY intrigued by what i have seen from Webb. He has a sorta sidearm throw that's a little concerning but as it sits he really makes those 35-40+yard throws look effortless. He has the prototypical size 6'5" 225lb. I'm having a tough time judging just how much arm strength he has because of how easy he makes his throws look. but I can assure you it's more than most with the exception of maybe Kelly but you could argue for either having the stronger arm. He was a transfer from Texas Tech so i really didn't read much into him but damn he can really sling the ball. Now he has some issues with consistency and in the san diego state game he had a bad turnover on the blown screen and the game ender on a GREAT defensive play (Jumped the route).I Honestly cant sit here and give you one reason why he looks better than the rest to me but he looks better than the rest. Secondly he's playing at Cal so if Hue had some connections to the golden bears he's going to have an inside track with Webb. He's also playing in the same offense as Jared Goff so thats where the direct comparison will be i think.

Looks Great to me everyone :) I honestly don't know if we'll be taking a QB at the top of the draft yet again this year. I Really think our needs at offensive line need to be addressed as well as our Linebackers and secondary.

I watched a lot of the SDSU game and the Texas game and he looked pretty good. When your QB throws 72 passes in a game there's bound to be a couple of INT's. He is a big guy with a strong arm.

I'm not sure that the Jared Goff comparison is really a good one since he's sitting on the bench behind Case Keenum and would appear to be dumber than a box of rocks everytime I hear him speak.

well no I'm not saying that he is similar to Jared Goff I'm saying he played in the same system so you can kinda see which one will flourish more in that system. It's just kinda cool that we can compare in that aspect

Idk too early for me to judge the QB draft class - so much can change between now and the combine.

Too late, Gipper's made his mind up. Next april when people are talking about this guy in the fifth round, gipper will be asking why we're not taking him first overall.

Davis webb went 32/56 57% completion for 478 yds 5 TD and 2 INT. In a loss to Arizona State.

of the 2 ints he threw both were poor decision making one being a pick 6 and the other could have been. One came on short slant route that was jumped ny the defender (pick 6) the other was a slant across mid field where he failed to look off the mlb enough.

Of the 5 td 1 was a catch and run screen for 74 yds.

4 were 19 to 26 yds td passes that were absolutely beautifully thrown balls placement being his strong suit at the intermediate to long range.

Overall the completion percentage was a little low at 57% and the turnovers were decision based. But bear in mind when you basically replace running with quick ins and wr screens your going to have ints from defenders making plays. Honestly i think webb would be better suited to a more traditional prostyle offense than air raid atleast thats what his games suggest.

Puts him at over 1800 passing yards with 18 tds and 5 Ints on the year. He's being projected to break all of goffs single season records.

Well, he has the arm, apparently. Who knows. Ranked about 4th or 5th round. I suppose

he would be like Weeden or Anderson.

or not. Without a lot more information, ... not interested much at all.

doesn't sound like it. The pros are a giant step up. I wouldn't waste

a pick on him. Not even as a FA.

WEAKNESSES Robotic decision-making. Decision on where to go with ball seems predetermined despite coverages. Needs to get better at manipulating safeties with his eyes. Inconsistent velocity to sideline causes nose of ball to dip. Drive throws sometime sail. Has slow setup in pocket with excessive pre-release steps. Cornerbacks contest too many throws due to lack of anticipation. Timing passes must come out sooner. Plagued by accuracy issues and decision-making outside the numbers on both intermediate and deep throws. Five of his 12 interceptions in 2016 were along deep sidelines due to under-throws and failure to read safety help. Touch and placement are an issue when forced to leave the pocket. Not a factor as a scrambler. SOURCES TELL US "He obviously is going to need coaching after being in those offenses at Texas Tech and Cal. I think he has enough between the ears to unlearn some of his bad habits and start to get things right. I see another Nick Foles if you give him time to develop." -- AFC area scout NFL COMPARISON Brock Osweiler BOTTOM LINE

System quarterback with more than 65 percent of his attempts coming inside of 10 yards. Webb has enough raw talent to be considered a developmental prospect, but his decision-making and accuracy issues beyond 10 yards is a big red flag that might be tough to overcome in the NFL.

Well according to the same site this guy will be a future all pro QB

i'd really suggest watching tape aswell looking up the senior bowl. He made every other QB there look foolish and he still has workable issue with his footwork and dropbacks but he has just as much potential as kizer/trubisky

don't see in nfl calendar, but when is our compensatory picks finalized before draft? seen in Oct. we get 1-in 3rd...2-in 4th(no actual pick, sent to philly)...1-in 5th? Webb remains me "we already have a Kessler" maybe a better deep ball guy though. My homey WR- Zay Jones!! You draft Hand Catcher's Sashi :)

There was an article the other day that specified we have 4 compensatory picks but 2 have already been traded leaving us with 2 comp picks in April. I believe the 2 we have left are in the 4th and 5th round but you might want to confirm that.

I share your enthusiasm Gumby! Zay Jones was fun to watch. Runs good routes and catches well with his hands like you said. If all 3 of his TDs counted (or just 2 of them) - he's the MVP of that game.

How about that Safety - Lorenzo Jerome out of St Francis? That guy produced more turnovers than Pillsbury yesterday. Speaking of St Francis, 3 turnovers in 1 game left the opponent thinking "Lighten up Francis!"

I was really impressed with what I saw from arm strength to pocket presence to size to accuracy (especially considering how long he's worked with the receivers). That said, I've only seen a small fraction of his work. I think it was a smart move to transfer out of the CFL QB Meat Market there in the Big 12 to Cal.

The good news is he's not going to be a first round QB which places him somewhat in bargain shopper territory. The guy threw 37 TD passes last year and maintained over a 61% completion rate throughout his college career. He has weaknesses just like any other QB in this draft; but we're drafting football ahead in lieu of what's parked in the rear view mirror. He could be a very good pick for somebody. It ain't a huge haystack this year making the needle easier to find especially after it's been threaded.

Worthy of note! Looking at the game yesterday, it looks like that was 1 hell of a Tour Guide.
