From a very reliable source comes this

The Indians are internally in discussions to bringing up the hot hitting Michael Aubrey from Buffalo

After he gets 7-10 games in Buffalo and he keeps on hitting the ball there....... Could be a move made in the next 2-3 weeks.

What happens when Choo is eligible to return? I figured that Marte was a goner just as soon as that deadline came about.

I had some serious man-love for Aubrey several years ago. Now? He's almost 26 and not exactly dominating kids several years younger. I guess I like his contact rate so far this year (.88) but there's little about an OPS ~ .8 that screams "hot hitting" given his age and the level of competition.

The man-love is still kinda there, but it's tempered.

And here comes Choo:

Choo heads north to begin rehabbing

CLEVELAND -- The Choo train has rolled its way north.

Outfielder Shin-Soo Choo and his family made the trek from Winter Haven, Fla., to Cleveland over the weekend. And after getting his family settled in, Choo made the drive east to Buffalo on Monday to report to the Tribe's Triple-A club.

Choo, who is out of Minor League options and has been on the disabled list all season after elbow ligament replacement surgery last fall, will work out with the Bisons on Tuesday and begin a rehab assignment Wednesday.

"Everything sounds good right now," manager Eric Wedge said. "His bat speed is good, he's swinging the bat well, he's moving around well in the outfield, and his arm's working good. You don't want to get giddy with it, but he's on target."

Choo's rehab assignment can last a maximum of 20 days. Because he is out of options, Choo will join the Indians once he proves he's ready or that assignment is up.

During Spring Training, Choo was limited to taking batting practice. He began work as a designated hitter in Minor League games at the end of camp and progressed to taking the field in extended spring games in mid-April. He finally played and tolerated nine innings in the field last week.

The 25-year-old Choo debuted with the Indians in 2006 and was the everyday right fielder for the last two months of that season, batting .295 with three homers and 22 RBIs in 45 games. With Trot Nixon in the mix last year, he opened at Triple-A Buffalo, where he hit .260 with three homers and 26 RBIs in 59 games before being sidelined with the elbow issue. He had Tommy John surgery performed in September.
