He's out 4-6 weeks. It's Sorgi time.

Knee surgery will sideline Colts' Manning four to six weeks

NFL.com Wire Reports

Pro Bowl quarterback Peyton Manning will need four to six weeks of recovery time after having a bursa sac removed from his left knee, the team revealed in a press release on Monday.

That timetable means he would miss at least the start of training camp. The Colts open camp on July 25 and break camp on Aug. 15.

"The procedure was routine. The Colts' medical staff expects a full and complete return to action," said Colts president Bill Polian.

He don't need no training camp.

Oh that's rich.
You've got to love the irony of those kinds of statements.

I'll never completely understand why NFL teams and players wait right before training camp to get anything done, whether it's contracts, surgeries etc.

I know the problem with Manning may have just festered, but this stuff happens a lot.

The colts had nothing to do with us missing the playoffs last year.

Well it's official. Anderson will have a better camp than Manning.

Your Alzheimer's disease is getting worse. The Browns lost to Cincy a week earlier. The Titans still had to win 2 games to take the tiebreaker. The Tits played in the afternoon game against the Jets week 16 and barely beat them at home 10-6. The next week they were behind in the third quarter to the Colts deep backups, and got a narrow come from behind win when Vince Young got hurt and they had to play their real QB.

Doesnt matter, cincy loss sealed our playoff fate. You dont hope someone loses to make the playoffs, you win the most important game of the season vs a weak opponent. Which we didnt.

Yeah Lums, good job dude. Think I should dick around with you like you did me over getting excited for Bentley?

You tried to spin that into me not liking Fraley, so what's your excuse for the Sorgi thang?

You stepped on it.

Browns shouldn't have to "back-in" to the play-offs.

You win your way in.

And you must have chinnuts because it's easier to blame the Colts for us missing the playoffs than your boy for choking against a depleted Bengals secondary.

ANYBODY who thought the Colts had a shot at winning that game a) is totally berzerk and b) has never watched football in his/her life.

Quinn pole-slobberers and Anderson pole-slobberers are both cut from the same cloth. They simply chose a different libidinal object.

The Browns controlled thier own destiny until the loss, Lumnuts. I don't care who beat who by the slimmest of margins.

O.K. Here's a softball for someone...I would have GLADLY taken the backdoor into the playoffs. Despite tiebreakers and all that rot...we were a FAR superior team to the Tits and WOULD
have beaten the Chargers.

Absolutely agreed. I seem to recall after the Cincinnati game reading a depressing number of "you know what? I hope we don't get in...'cause if we do, I'm not watchin'!" posts, which were written by people who were either lying through their teeth or who were delusional.

I would have taken RAC sneaking up to Indianapolis and pulling a Nancy Kerrigan on Kerry Collins if it would have put the Browns in the playoffs. Don't know if they would have beaten San Diego, but I wouldn't have cared at that point.
