Absolutely CANNOT wait for week 2 to get here. We'll see whose standing on top when the dust settles.

Dude, why the hell are you getting so riled up over us?

Your on a browns message board, we've had a great offseason and added quite a few pieces, yet your going to begrudge us for being optimistic about our chances?

Seriously dude, I know you've tried to play on the fence with not being a troll, but this is very ass-hatish of you.

There have been several logical non flaming posts in this thread discussing your teams offensive line, yet you want to take exception to the fact we are pointing this out?

Let's not forget that you came to US, not the other way around, you could leave this board and never return and nobody would give a rats ass, thats just the plain truth of the matter. So since you're in our house, try and use some self moderation when discussing these matters. Yeah there are always going to be those who will just talk shit to you because your a steelers fan, but a vast majority of us have no problem discussing football with a steeler fan. Preacher is evidence to that.

So basically what I'm saying is take it easy, don't get too up in arms about our optimism, it's May and hope always is plentiful in May. We could suffer several injuries in training camp and preseason that would change a lot of our opinions overnight. We just have to wait and see it play out.

What's wrong snatcher, no quick comebacks on valid statistical evidence that the Steeler OL was in big trouble WITH pro-bowler Fanica? Just imagine the sieve it will be without...and this year facing a Browns DL that has more than a washed up fat Teddy and a worn out Orpheus Roye.

You can't wait to see who is standing? Well, I can tell you one guy who will be dusting off his britches more than once...in fact Big Ben may be wishing he was hit on his bike again by the time the Browns D gets done with him.

Of that entire post, the only thing you can critique or ridicule is my use of the word "dude"?

At least I use a word thats understood by those who have never lived or visited western PA.

So dude, when you actually want to talk football like a grown up big boy with big boy britches, you come and see me and we'll mix it up. Until then your another pathetic troll longing for attention because you receive none in the real world....

We'll see but when the Seahawks lost Their pro-bowl guard they didn't do squat on the ground, Steinbach left Cincy and look at their running game...just saying it is a big risk to lose a possible HOF guard in today's game! food for thought!

Conversely...Minn had and decent ground attack and so did C-town baby.......If you look it up sadly it was the most yards per season since ol' Jim Brown himself! Thanks Phil, for picking up the battering ram from Baltimore!

But I guess O-lineman are a dime o dozen....LMFAO!

SA being injured didn't have anything to do with it, I suppose.

The Steelers know how to run the ball, and they know how to fill gaps.

Talk to me after we run 400 yards on yinz during the regular season.

400 in one game your dumber then you appear to be on here if you honestly beleive that the Steelers will run for 400 in one game. I don't even think they could in 2 games. heck if we meet you gals in the playoffs 400 maybe a stretch.

The phrase "during the regular season" was key to comprehending my previous post.

That must have sailed past you.

I'll try to use less words next time.

I still find it totally hilarious that not one steeler troll has bothered to comment on the fact that they were either the 30th or 31st WORST PASS PROTECTION LINE in the NFL (depending on the source) last year, and that was WITH pro bowl veteran Alan Faneca!!!

Now, the lose him, and bring in....um....NOBODY WORTH MENTIONING, and somehow they are going to get better. Oh yeah, I forgot, the got a rookie WR in round 2 and another Willie Parker to run the ball.

Ooooh. That was smart thinking. Your gonna give Big Ben tons of time...after he ends up on the IR to think about why you guys didn't get any lineman!!!

I'm obviously dealing with the remedial group here.

Yes but if you read before that he said even in a 3 game stretch you couldnt go for 400. What dont you get about this? You said regular season (2 games head to head) and he said including possibly the playoffs (3 games head to head). Are you serious?

JFC on a freaking stick, you're as dumb as a log.

Read this, slowly:

quote:
400 in one game your dumber then you appear to be on here if you honestly beleive that the Steelers will run for 400 in one game

"400 in one game" suggests that he interpreted my comment as exactly what it states - 400 in one game. He further goes on to say "your dumber then you appear to be on here if you honestly beleive that the Steelers will run for 400 in one game" which further supports his stance that he thought I meant just one game.

But I didn't, because I stated:

quote:
during the regular season

That implies two games.

The Steelers and Browns play two games "during the regular season".

With me so far?

If not, you're beyond my help - and probably anyone elses.

Try Hooked on Phonics. If that doesn't help, at least it will keep you busy for a while.

I am a little confused, but maybe you can help me out here:

Stallworth, while a late bloomer, caught the attention of BB in NE. Why? Because he is a smart WR who can play team ball, something NE looks for. Why didn't he get an extension in NE to say aboard? Because they don't need him, they have R Moss, W Welker, Faulk, Maroney and whoever the TE flavor of the year is.

We, on the other hand, are not asking him to be "number 2 WR in you offense." You obviously do NOT pay attention to our offense, Snatcharoo!

Now lets take a look at the stats for Stallworth the last four years (his most productive):
NOS: 58 767 5
NOS: 70 945 7
PHI: 38 725 5
NEP: 46 697 3

His career is a 15.1 YPC

Braylon Edwards
CLE: 32 512 3
CLE: 61 884 6
CLE: 80 1,289 16

His career is a 15.5 YPC

Kellen Winslow
CLE: 89 875 3
CLE: 82 1,106 5

His career is a 11.5 YPC

.....

So basically we're paying Stallworth to give you fits as a 3rd option. Bring in JJ as the "4th WR" and now you have 4 guys who can hurt you.

Should we talk about Rucker in this mix as well? Because while I think you understand football, I hasten to admit you know Cleveland's offense.

Stallworth is the 2nd WR in this offense? Take a look at the stats, buddy. You're not seeing the forest through the trees.

Oh and by the way, you're OL ---- it is going to bite you in the ass. WHY? Because your pathetic OC was our OC when he tried to feed us the same BS line about "talent at the skill position making up for lack of depth at the OL position."

Have fun with that. Don't want to listen? Fine. Let history repeat itself with Arians. Remember how long it took for us to recover.

We just added depth and studs to our DL and you're not worried? Okay.
