I'm beginning to think he wants pretty big money, and he has been a damn productive player even late into his career (he's 34). He's a smart guy and a positive locker room force... but he's also a big figure in the player's union. I always wonder what baggage that brings in the eyes of a team.

At 6'6" and 305, he's another guy who might have been even better in a 3-4. But the Giants castoff makes more sense when we're looking for a rotation guy, not a starter.

But you never know.

I wonder if we could get Joseph as a back up, Edwards as the OlB in a 3-4, and sill get Wilson??

That proably would mean the end of McGinnest (that's OK, he can coach for us) and maybe the end of Davis.

Wonder if they could swing that under the salary cap.

We said our front 7 needed work, basically we would of replaced it with Free agents.

My sense is that Carter would be the better pass-rusher, but Joseph would be better against the run.

Considering that the two DL we traded for are excellent pass-rushers, we probably just want another big run-stuffing sub (like Louis Leonard).

Though I really like Carter, Joseph's probably the guy for the Browns.

I'm telling you guys, I lived in Gainesville when Carter played for the Gators. He was an underachiever then, about 260 like Alonzo Spellman, He's done man, has been for awhile.

You sign him for almost rookie money to back up, tops.

Phillip is not going to do it, but after losing Thompson, he'll get a backer in here.

I love how he's making these guys earn it.....You wanna play for us???

My mouth is sore trying to explain to people how bad Phil Savage is
