Ah yes....
One last paycheck for spending most of the year on the IRL.
It must be painful to make millions of dollars to watch a few football games each season and slap a few guys on the rear every now and then.
My heart goes out to him.
Don't know how I'd ever deal with that kind of suffering myself.

I have no major problems with what McGinest has brought to the team. He was brought in to be a veteran presence, and that's what he's done. He's been hurt quite a bit, but nobody was expecting him to play every down of every game for five years. He'll make a good defensive assistant for the Browns next year.

I said last season I'd have him back in a heartbeat, as a coach.
I just didn't want the guy sucking up a roster spot from someone who could actually contribute on field all season.
I still want him back this season, as a coach.
I'll have him back next season, as a coach.
But as a player, he's been washed up since his first season here.

Should have hung it up after that lucky 4th down stop on Edgerrin James against the Colts before he came here. He was already only a part time player then and we got sucked in with that one play to thinking that a past his prime player would be an asset.

if measuring his on-filed impact, i may be able to agree with you.

but his contribution to this team was much more than sacks. too bad that some are blind to this fact.

Willie is a big help when we had ZERO leadership, but if he starts in 2008 we're in trouble. Love ya WM. Time to take a coach spot/player if needed.

Willie was a good mentor for our LB's, his best days were long gone before the Browns got him.

No problem with this guy for another year. He still has excellent skills and experience as a situational player and onfield coach

Great job Phil bringing in another over the hill guys to waste space for two years...........did we win the Super Bowl

NO

mentor semnter.....signing him was bad but not as bad as tub o lard Ted.........Savage sucks

sumtims the herd needs a more than a few years to catch on to difference between skill and luck

veteran presence with an empty tank is about as good as rookie talent with no brain.............but the latter has a future the former is toast.........excuses for another bad move by Savage

That is something you should be pretty familiar with - moreso the no brain part.

Were you born a dickhead - or did you have to work at it through life to get to that stage?

I understand loyalty but this guy has recieved top dollar and a roster spot for too long.

Why would he be a coach for the Browns he spent the majority of his career with NE

I dont think he was a bad signing. He contributed when we had less talent then some colleges. The only reason he is on the team is because he took a good pay cut that freed up cap to address other concerns.

I hope Orr can put some serious clock in at SAM. I have no confidence in Peek and McGinest looks like hes playing traffic.

Washington wasnt a good signing we brought him into be a NT and the guys 6'5" or something. he was going to lose the leverage battle eveytime. I think PS learned and we have better prototypical NTs now.

PS has done a great job and I try to be as unbias as possible. Nobody get them all right. Matter of fact look at the Patriots last couple of drafts and tell me how many of those players are still in the league.
