well....at one time we had this nifty thread about how all our names and handles came to be and no matter who i search under i can't get deeper than january '08. i searched through a few that i'm sure commented in the thread but it's all too far gone apparently.

maybe the server was wiped around that time and all old posts are kaput? maybe you can find it with your snazzy new clearance hb. it was a fun thread. the name was misleading though, i remember atenears didn't even click on it until a week or so after everyone was done with it. so if you search it was called something more obscure.

siskyfringo86 is simply my old handle superfansince86 convoluted to pay homage to the show Frisky Dingo, mostly due to the fact i'm enamored with the villain Killface.

superfansince86 is a double entendre as well. now is when that other thread would be handy.

the Brownies were my favorite team since birth but 1986 is the year i really went "super saiyan" for them. from that point on i've really had it bad--yes, it's safe to say i'm obsessed.

the other meaning stems from my background in restaurants and food--i'm a chef. when you're out of something you "86" it as in "86 the special...i've got two portions left" or out front in the bar "86 his fuccking ass, he's completely wasted" at which point you refuse to serve them or ask them to leave.

as an aside the origin of "86"ing dates back to the old west where apparently the ladies had their own proof of whisky--86. when a cowboy was over his limit they would refuse to serve him the more potent male version and rather than lower themselves to the level of the puny 86 proof version, they would leave the saloon in disgust instead.

to tie it all together i've been a superfan since their 1999 return from being 86'd in 1996. after being engaged for 32 years i'm ready to consummate this marriage with a lombardi!! obviously.

Yeah, that was a good thread and a quick attempt to recover it failed. It may be gone as this place had automatic prunning until recently.
