So if you are or could attend the training camp this season, what would be your primary focus area for the most avid observation? Yes, I stole this question from clevelandbrowns.com home page because I was surprised at the poll results there.

The results were:

Secondary 1st,
QB 2nd,
DL 3rd,
Linebackers 4th,
Wide Receivers 5th,
Running Backs 6th.

I was straight in for the DL at number 1. Too much is being made of the secondary need, we have some good new guys displaying great awareness and a degree of depth that is not terrifying. QB, yes that will always be of interest, DL 3rd!? Nope that's surely got to be #1 this season hasn't it.

Anyhow, over to you.

I watch everything, and the QB & receivers are typically the most exciting to watch, but I'd agree. . . this year I would be really interested in watching the DL first.

In order?

1. Oline - I look for this oline to dominate, flat out. I love to watch the oline engine run the car.

2. Dline - the Dline horses up front clogging up the oline action are the key to the lb's ability to be -able- to make plays, and shut down runs up the middle.

3. Linebackers - This is the most intriguing new part I want to see - better, quicker lb's, given support from up front, making plays sideline to sideline. Bell seems like he was a steal.

4. Secondary - It's WRight and McDonald who are the starters, right? I don't see a problem here. Too bad we lost Holly, though.

5. I look for Harrison to burst onto the scene. We already know Lewis and Wright will take huge advantage of this oline again.
Ready to ROLL !

6. QB - pressure is on the #16 ranked qb - DA - that is with arguably the NFL's BEST OLINE. Almost pitiful. If he starts to choke again, Quinn steps in and wins.

I wish more fans would learn how to watch the line first and the QB/RB out of their peripheral. If they did, more people would have noticed how dominant Joe Thomas was last year.

Watching oline play is a blast for me, but I also like to see how patterns develop downfield. This is almost impossible unless you're there live.

I'll be watching whatever I can get closest to at camp, cause this year it's going to be packed in Berea.

i try to mix it up. But if i had to pick one squad to watch, it would be the DL. Their practice tends to have some neat drills mixed in with the appropriate amount of horsing around. From an entertainment standpoint, they're fun to watch.

C'mon Ed....you KNOW you go to watch Pontbriand bent over in that classic long snap position. Don't lie to us.

#1 has to be QB I mean DA hasnt showed if he is the answer yet and we only go as far as he takes us. Plus I would get to see the insurance take snaps and see whats got the board drunk on Quinn juice.

#2 would be DL because I really dont like the idea of Rogers playing NT in a 3-4. I also have questions about how Williams will transfer from a 4-3 DE to a 3-4 DE.

#3 is the LBers. Peek got rave reviews but Im more interested in Bell who was in my top 5 LBers in the draft.

#4 WRs there is going to be an awesome battle for a roster spot those guys have to bring their A game.

#5 CBs their is alot of guys I like in that group but I really would like to watch how McDonald handles the #2 role.

For me it's the QB position. I know the O line is going to be good but to me the big question is can DA show that he's not just a one year wonder or will BQ step up and prove that he's ready to take this team to the next level. I can't say that I'm pulling for one or the other just as long as this team gets to a Super Bowl soon.

I would want to see how the DL can stop our own running game. Can they pressure the passer? how well does the secondary hang with our top 4 recievers?..

I am comfortable with QB (depth is great), RB (some depth questions behind jamal), LB's good depth, Wr's great top 2 and average depth, TE great depth, Special teams are solid. Our offense WILL score this year.. Can we stop the opponents? last year we gave up an "average of 23.9.. way too many..

This year -- Defense, Defense, Defense

1. Defensive Line. we invested the money, lets see what they do
2. Linebacker, next level of attack, will the money in the DL allow the LB's to do their job.
3. CB's - if the DL and LB's are doing their job with putting pressure on the quarterback, the pressure will be off the defensive backs. That said, this position is the thinnest at depth, so we need to see how everyone develops.

I don't think we will see the real offense until the season starts. Chud will only show some of what he wants to do, he'll save the rest for the regular season.

Secondary first and foremost. We face some of the strongest passing teams in the league, starting week 1 with Romo/Owens.

My eyes would be glued to:
Mil'von James and AJ Davis
Leon Williams and D'Quell Jackson
Jerome Harrisson and Austin Scott
DA and BQ

I'm personally more interested in seeing what Beau Bell can do, along with our 2 new DL additions. Bell just looks like one of those old school bruisers from back in the day to me, am curious to watch im develope and hopefully be a great LB. QB you kinda know how its gonna go without actually watching it.

Ohhhhhh, you meant on the football field, then the answer would be the QB's and the defense. Wink
