OT, I know... but wow. The rookie was 11 of 15 and looked fantastic by all accounts. Great array of post moves.

We wanted a 4 who could score... maybe we stole one.

I think the Cavs may have stole one here, this kid can game in the post and that's became a lost art anymore. Ferry stated a few weeks back on WTAM that this is the guy they wanted, period. They were ecstatic he was still there.

He may contribute significantly this year, and that's what we need.

I agree....we might have. Every year teams find guys later in the draft who turn into great players....and this kid has a chance.

I can't say I saw him that much....6-7 times maybe.....but every time he was a guy I noted....secretly thinking I wished the Gators had signed him. Wink

I think he is a guy who by seasons end will be a big part of things and eating large portions of the game minutes and producing.

It is only a summer league game.

I mean, Donte' Greene scored 40 for the Rockets Smile

Quinn pole-slobberers and Anderson pole-slobberers are both cut from the same cloth. They simply chose a different libidinal object.

Peens, what I like is he's just a flat out scorer underneath, one of those types who knows how to get a shot off. Everybody nowadays wants to be a perimeter player and style and profile.

He seems to have it together.

I hope Hickson can contribute soon. But predicting future performance based on summer league play is a pretty tricky thing to do.

For instance, check out this article from two years ago:
quote:
The Cavaliers absolutely stole Michigan State guard Shannon Brown with the 25th pick. How he wasn’t a lottery pick, I’ll never understand. In today’s game against the Warriors, Brown had 15 points, six assists, four rebounds, and two steals in 29 minutes. But as strong as that line is, it doesn’t tell the whole story. Brown, like Roy, can play the one and two with seemingly equal effectiveness and he’s a handful on the defensive end, with limitless energy to harass his opponent.

If you’re wondering why the Cavaliers aren’t in the market to re-sign Flip Murray, wonder no more. And let this be a warning to veterans PGs Eric Snow and Damon Jones that Brown is coming to town and he’s looking for your minutes.

Never liked Shannon Brown, Al, watched him too much in the Big Ten and knew he couldn't shoot.

Hickson is different, he's a low post scorer who appears to be legit.

Hickson scored 18 in his second game, tops on the team.

Besides Chalmers, who now looks like an enormous steal and potential starter for the Heat, Hickson is getting some heat as one of the shrewdest picks.
