This front page article shows what is planned for the area we now use for our tailgate. Based on the pic's it looks like #7 (ten sceen cinema with dining and entertainment) is whats planed for our site. Ironically, a gourmet market is slated for the parking lot across the road mere feet from where Don and Roach have served up some of the finest tailgate food in the city.

Actually, Ironically our lot will once again be a parking lot (for the ten sceen cinema). I fell asleep reading the article, any guess when construction will start?

For those of you with Google Earth, you can see our charcoal dump spot from outer space. How's that for leaving our tailgate mark on the planet? That is nine years worth of tailgate parties lying there.

The coordinates are:
41 degrees 30' 02.79" N
81 degrees 42' 18.25" W

If you slide over and get a close up view of the playing field, you'll see that there are no linebackers present.

i took a ride to the Flats today. Our lot is the same as we left it except for some various clumps of piled asphalt in various places. i'm guessing that is from the developers getting core samples.

There digging for Jimmy Hoffa and all they found were a couple of squeeler fans...

From the article, you'd think Wolstien would be ready to start once the weather clears. However, the City Planning Commision is notorious for delaying projects unless there's some major politial powers behind it. There's also a matter of getting RTA's O.K. to elongate the rapid line that will wrap around the proposed Eaton complex.(more precisely, who's gonna pay for it) My guess is they won't clear enough hurdles until late fall when it's too late to start excavation or even next spring.

Maybe anthropologists making a study of 20th century tailgating eating habits??

Hope they don't take a core sample in that little corner by the bridge.
