Really? There must be an opening for a side show freak at Circ De Soleil. If ya need refferences, let us know.

I'm more concerned about this crush Steeler Schmuck has on Shep.

Apparently, he believes everyone who lives in Hollywood must have an alternative lifestyle. Shall we break it to him that Shep is a happily married man?

Well whatever we do, for God's sake don't show him a picture of Shep, he'll be in California before you can say steelers gay rights....

When I was 6 years old my cousin told me I had to pick a favorite football team. I had never watched a game or was even interested in football. He said I like the Vikings they have one of the best WRs in Cris Carter. Who do you want as your favorite?I said who is another good WR and who does he play for. Needless to say I ended up being a 49ers "fan".

I just started keeping track of pro football 2 years ago. I fell in love with football the game when i was 12 or 13 (5'11 220 lbs pop warner was fun for me) but never cared about anything other then what I was doing until then.

I read up on San Francisco and how Alex Smith gets his eyebrows done and all this stuff. Then I watched my first 49ers game 2 years ago and found myself rooting against them. I lived my life saying I was a fan of this team but in reality I was an imposter but I was forced into choosing.

I decided to find a team but how do you decide after being a fan of the game and not of a team for 15 years? Do you pick on potential? Whos closer to your city? Who has the highest "quality" guys on their team? Whos unis are better? Who do you like to play with on Madden?

Did I make the right decision and find a team I like or should I have stuck with the choice I made when I was 6?

Well, it does not really matter which team you chose. They are all about the same. It is a club you know. I became a Browns fan at the age of seven and a Steelers fan at the age 12 and have stuck with both all the way. Of the two, sad to say here the Browns were the love of my sports life. No longer. right now when they play each other I cannot discern which I will root for.............before 2004 that was a simple choice the Browns.

You should follow your heart and it will tell you who to root for.....

So, if you want to know the right choice of who to root......it is simple the Buckeyes!

Sad commentary that there are actually people out there that seek their validation through the internet. Poor fella....

All joking aside, it doesn't matter how long you've been a fan only if you're a fan for the right reasons. One being the traditions and culture of a team. Know anything about the Kardiac Kids or Bernie? Know how much we hate John Elway? Why did you become a Browns fan? As long as you're not jumping on the glamour wagon ready to bail when there's a bump in the road I don't see why it matters.

Nice post about tradition and history except you dropped the frist twenty five years of glory and the real tradition..........now how slightful of your own team is that?

I wouldn't worry too much about that! My dad was a Browns' fan so I'm still debating whether it was learned or inherited from the genes. I used to show up to school wearing the orange and brown as if that was the way it was supposed to be in Western NY. I still remember the first phone call home from the school in the 2nd or 3rd grade. My dad was pissed "why did you take that kid's lunch money?" He was wearing a Pittsburgh Steeler sweat shirt dad. Talk about renegotiating the belt... I actually had disturbing thoughts of bigger allowance from it all. To coin a phrase from Ron White: "I was wrong!" Trouble was, at the time my dad was a Catholic that had to have been thinking how much he valued that "love thy enemy" thang.

No, I say "aka Patrick Starfish" every time I refer to him.

You and Patrick must have swam from the same shallow end of the gene pool.

Seriously - do you have a mullet? Watch COPS regularly, idolize Dawg the Bounty Hunter?

Anyone with an avatar of Hulk Hogan and the screen name Hollywood has mullet written all over them.

browns fans, just like the team, have a TON of heart. so you tell me, are you a Browns fan? are you loyal? can you take a beating? do you despise the Pittsburgh Steelers?

we're not even halfway through the application.

and at least read about Bernie for fux sake. (do i need to say Kosar? plz say no....)

and the history of the dawg pound, and how Hanford Dixon and Frank Minnifield & LB's used to bark at the other team, which is how that all began. and why we don't have a mascot, even though you think it's a bulldog (nfl recognized that is)

don't care about tradition? maybe you would if you realize who Paul Brown, of the CLEVELAND BROWNS, was and how much he contributed to football, or Jim Brown, crap! where do you stop!

get your wikipedia on! you're seriously missing the best story in football. no wonder you don't value tradition. it's great stuff.

friends

btw welcome aboard.

I didnt hate the steelers till I became a browns fan and seen these guys posting on this board. Every other teams board I have been on even rivals talk their smack but can give a decent arguement.

I know that Chuck is scared that his mighty Steelers have been coming closer and closer to losing the division. Good news is CIN sucks and so does BAL but CLE is on the rise and looking for the crown. PIT maybe able to hold on for one more year, but please dont address OL for one more year it will be like a gift to us browns fans.

I HATE the steelers now so atleast I got that going for me.

I like the guys on this board it feels like a really disfuntional home away from my disfunctional home.

Maybe I can come up there for a game next season for the Steelers game

was i crabby this morning or what?!? that post was right before beddy bye, sorry for being so crass.

it really is the best story in football, imho.
that's why i am so passionate, cuz i want you to feel it too.

for many of us, being Browns fans just feels right--i couldn't imagine rooting for anyone else (nfl). no way.

glad you feel the hate for our most respected rival. once the emotional attachment really takes hold and we fight a close one it gets even more real. hell, i even pal up with other fans of teams at times as they play the pitts. a truly healthy love to hate relationship i guess.

thanks for being honest btw. hope it feels right and you embrace it fo' life! love to see ya at a game!
