We already lost a good possession receiver in JJ, and hopefully we won't be bitten by the injury bug in pre or the regular season. Which player cannot go down?

Where are we after Jamal Lewis?

I'd rather be nailin' Sarah Palin

I honestly think that there would have to be SEVERAL injuries to the OL along with a key skill player to be devestating on the offensive side.

The defensive side is another story. We seem to have some depth on the DL (sounds funny saying that) and at LB...but our secondary is paper thin.

I would have to say our #1 CB, Eric Wright, would be the most devestating injury for this team. It would reduce the experience and skill level across the board in the secondary.

McDonald would become the #1 (with less than a year experience), and at this point either James or Perry would be forced into a starting role at the #2.

That would make us way too inexperienced in the secondary to be a legit playoff contender and force us to either trade for a STARTER (sacrificing picks most likely) or roll the dice that our front 7 can protect the DB's.

If I had to pick one single player it would be Thomas.

Brady Quinn!!!

I'll say Braylon. Team record 16 TDs. Browns don't win 8 games without him.

I would have to say braylon. seriously think about it. If braylon went down I think our offense would take a serious blow that it might not recover from. We can move shaffer over and band aid the the Thomas problem but there is no band aid for a top receiver to go down.

If not braylon i think i would have to go with one of our starting CB's also. were just so thin

Braylon or Jamal.

I think Shaffer could do a credible job at LT with Steinbach next to him instead of Andruzzi. Hadnot and Tucker on the right side would be very good.

Teams like NE have done more with way less.

I can agree with this too..... I picked JT, but Braylon is a game changer.

I'd say Eric Wright. If he goes down, then presumably McDonald moves over to cover the other team's #1. That's not necessarily the end of the world, but it means that Cousin gets the #2 receiver--which would make me mightily uncomfortable--and then what happens when the other team throws out three or four WRs in a formation? Then we pray.

I'd have to say JL, if he goes down, our running game goes with him. then its easy to just sit back in coverage and stop the pass. altho BE has teh same effect just vice versa

Joe Thomas on offense and Eric Wright on defense.

Not that Wright is a pro bowl CB, but because we are thin to begin with. Losing a starting CB would change a lot of the game plan. It would take away some blitz packages because we would have to play more cover 2 defense.

Take a good look, we have already been bitten by the injury bug. Not just JJ, but how about Holly and Tucker. That's 3 starters and camp isn't even open yet.

In the NFL you have to be cautiously Optimistic because of the injury factor. I can't see predictions of 11-5 or even 10-6 when you don't even know who is going to line up against the Cowboys. Last year we stayed relatively healthy and we were fortunate to play some teams that were hit by injuries before they played us.

I hope the injury bug passes by Berea, because depth isn't our strength.

We can live without E. Wright or McDonald...if Braylon or Winslow goes down our offense goes from elite to mediocre. Lewis, too.
