Let's just rehash...

It's insanely assinine that Shannon Brown isn't getting big minutes every game.

On a scale of talent, he's second on the team behind LeBron. All he needs is time to harness it. And we already know he can play defense. Shit, we saw it coming together already in the few games he played earlier this year.

He's lights out from 3 point land, has penetrating ability and quickness, strength to play defense, and can throw it down with ANY small guard in the NBA this side of Nate Washington.

That's why he dominated the D-League and scored 20 something a game while he was down there for a brief time.

Yet, when Sasha goes out, we play Ira Newble. We should have been playing Shannon Brown over SASHA, let alone Newble.

I know Danny Ferry and Mike Brown are good guys and they're trying, but sometimes I wonder if they understand just how much athleticism is important. I wonder if they really understand how much better this offense could be.

I know Shannon has looked bad and not ready at some points in time, but he's the type of player that needs time on the floor to get mentally confident and comfortable. It's completely a mental thing with him, and he won't get that fixed until he sees first hand IN the game that he can dominate. Until he gets a few shots to go down and a few steals and that confidence, it's not just going to click by participating in practice.

Get him playing time. He WILL shine somewhere else if we don't.

Agreed 100% - Shannon has to play, and Mike Brown refuses to even give him a sniff unless he has to.

Of course Ira plays like an absolute stud last night against Boston after I say we should be playing Shannon Brown...

Still think we should be though.

Honestly, I feel like I must be missing something. Lebron goes down and Brown puts up 20 a game. Lebron returns... Browns is benched and Ira and Hughes play all the time.

What am I missing here?

Shannon must have ****ed Potato Head's wife... it's the only logical explanation.
