Ben Wallace and Daniel "Boobie" Gibson remained out of the Cavaliers' lineup Wednesday night against New Orleans. Wallace is not likely to play in Detroit on Saturday but Gibson is.

"If all goes [according to plan] I should be able to play [Saturday]," said Gibson, who has been out with a left ankle sprain since Feb. 20. Gibson is more than ready to return to the court.

"It has been a learning experience for me," Gibson said. "This is something I haven't been through before. But it's been almost torture sitting on the bench watching the games because you can't get out there."

Wednesday was the third full game Wallace has missed due to back spasms. He also missed most of the second half of the Cavs' victory against Toronto on March 21.

"As soon as the doctor says they can go, they can go," coach Mike Brown said. "Gib is getting healthy because he had his first full practice on Tuesday and that's an encouraging sign. But Ben [playing Saturday] . . . I don't know."
