Leg, it's just a reminder. The average American has an attention span of a Star Magazine article.
And Bush's foibles and deceit are worthy of a second look.

With all due respect, a reminder of what, exactly? What Americans migght have gotten if anyone in Congress had a pair when it mattered, maybe? A reminder that it's been eight years since Bush was installed, and a year and a half since the Democrats took the majority, and still the best they can do is am ultimately futile resolution? Dennis

Or perhaps a reminder to the House what exactly can be found in 35 articles of impeachment? I mean, really?quote: Rep. Dennis Kucinich, D-Ohio, who ran for president earlier this year, insists that his resolution deserves more consideration. He spent more than four hours Monday night reading his 35 articles of impeachment into the record, including charges that Bush manufactured a false case for going to war against Iraq.
He should be punched in the face.

quote: With all due respect, a reminder of what, exactly? Of not letting it happen again. Meaning, electing someone like George Freaking Bush to the White House. It sounds sillier and sillier as time passes. Dennis, there hasn't been a majority, really, and you know that. It's gridlock because of a coma and a faux Democrat. And you know tit-for-tatting Congress isn't going to forgive Bush's transgressions. It's just a diversion.

What, don't defend us from terrorism again? Shep, you are hawking DENNIS KUCINICH as your champion? You are now Richer than Rich. Kucinich is being ridiculed by every talk show, many newscasts, people at work, and in Congress ! You are sad. And very humiliated, yes?

Yes, because Hussein was getting ready to mount an invasion. I withdraw my earlier question. Dennis

They're a foreign country, and Iraq invaded almost twenty years ago. Funny, you never struck me as the type to see America as the world's Batman, going wherever there is trouble to make sure that all is well. What are we doing sitting here? Germany has invaded many more countries. We have the army already in-country; all we have to do is give the word! Dennis

Germany? That was long, long before Iraq invaded Kuwait.
Perhaps your timelines run backwards.

And Iraq invaded Kuwait when, exactly? And posed what threat to America? Dennis Since Germany invaded more countries than Iraq, we get to go back further.

I have Cal on ignore. Was the Gulf War 20 years ago his new rationale for Bush's War? That kind of spinning can give one brain damage. Ahhhhh. That explains so much.

I don't agree with that at all. I think it is extremely important to note that the House repubs couldn't wait to bring the measure to the floor to expose the ridiculousness of the timing of the impeachment by engaging the dems in some silly debate. Then to note that dems pulled it from the floor so as to show some sort of faux "high ground" action. Total gamesmanship. And a total waste of time, and my money. I'm amazed that with that dastardly Roger Clemens still on the loose, Congress even found the time to script Bush impeachment articles. I mean, are you kidding me? What a fcuking joke.

I'm all for it, Leg. I've been kind of embarrassed at the relatively free pass this administration has received. Even if the rebuke and impeachment threats are paper tigers, at least it's acknowledgment.
We all kind of sat around with our thumbs up our patriotic asses.
