This has been going around this week. Perhaps you've seen it.
Obviously, the "terrorist fist jab" is such a bizarre, mindless smear out of left field that you'd think it was a joke on Colbert. It's even beneath Fox News, if that's possible. (Terrorists do the fist thing? Really?) But just enjoy the whole thing for what may be the dumbest, most useless three minutes of analysis in recent television history. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G_vmQrTi3aM I sympathize with the need to fill 24-hours of airtime a day, but when it's this insipid it's really on you. |

This resembles what they used to call the "dap". Kind of immature for a 46 y/o Harvard Graduate to do on stage, on camera. Obviously a staged event to apeal to the young voters, kind of like the Gore kiss at the Convention.

I posted it because it was a smear followed by a ridiculous discussion about nothing with a body language expert, whatever that is. Then Diehard picked out Obama for acting "immature" for a Harvard grad, but didn't say anything about Bush, president and Yale/HBS grad, for doing the chest bump. I was wondering why. Again, try to keep up. |

Apparently she didn't bring it up with the "body language expert," so it was a one-and-done shot. I'm still trying to figure out if it was an actual attempt at a smear, or if she's just a retard. Or maybe it was a retarded attempt at a smear. Who can tell? I think the "terrorist fist jab" thing comes from the fact that, indeed, terrorists have been seen pumping their fists in excitement. Along with people at football games and Arsenio Hall tapings. And everywhere where groups of people share any kind of excitement. I'm pretty sure the next time he raises his hand to wave to a crowd, they'll have the expert back on to discuss: "was it a casual greeting, or a nod to Hitler?" The post is about how ridiculous Fox News is, and how ridiculous it is to make try and make an issue out of a fist bump, and how throwing in the "terrorist fist jab" is beyond parody. That's what the post "cares" about. You keep trying to insist that what I care about is the actual fist bump. Because you can't keep up. That's not my problem. |

It's getting really tiresome explaining my posts to you. Perhaps you should take note that you're the only one who seems to not be able to follow one post to the next.
First, you have the original point about lousy journalism, if you can call it that. Then my next post is about something else -- asking DieHard why he would call Obama's fist bump immature, but not mention Bush's chest bump. It seems selectively partisan, don't you think? Two different things. Again, try and keep up. As for my opinion of the fist bump or the chest bump - I don't care. |
