You seemed to think those were important or you wouldn't have mentioned them correct? I only replied to your quote of: "He is a great speaker and will inspire many people to great things." That's a BIG part of being a leader Tupa. Getting people to DO things or as you better put it "great things." There's some ENORMOUS challenges confronting the 3 top candidates so you're going to NEED people to be inspired to take action. Smokers don't QUIT smoking because they hear it's bad for them - they quit smoking because there's a CUE to action. Something inspires them to TAKE action or otherwise, it doesn't penetrate the old "that doesn't pertain to me" mentality.
I look at healthcare and see that in order to GET progress we need "great things" from our people. Perhaps first this starts with getting MOST of those truck drivers, factory workers and people that don't spend the spare time reading up on politics to understand 45-50 million HARD-working middle class Americans just LIKE THEM are going without healthcare coverage. Seems to me the fire keeps getting bigger and not smaller so we need great things there. Unfortunately, one group of leaders BLAMES the last group of leaders when they get asked HOW they are going to tackle the problem ONCE they've been hired to deliver the goodies they've promised. I'll be watching all this shake out and I'll be loking for a plan instead of never ending spinning compass on the direction we're headed.
The economy requires GREAT things from people to shift the direction and momentum of the direction picking up warped speed. McCain is 73 and all I can think of when I watch the guy is "where's my Cane?" If I say that fast or with an Irish accent it sounds like I'm asking: "Where's McCain?"
And now the war against whomever our government wants us to THINK it's against along with the CIVIL war going on over there means we're sweeping all our own domestic stuff under the rug while we're concentrating on 1 man's mission. First we were after Bin Laden - anyone CHOOSE to remember that? THEN it became a pretentious hunt for weapons of mass destruction. As we learned - they didn't have any weapons of mas destruction. And as Heck recently pointed out - we're being told that Al Queda is killing our soldiers instead of the Civil War Bush inspired over there. NOW, it's turned into - "we can't just pull out - we have to finish what we started." Oh yeah? SHOW ME a FREAKIN progress report so we can discuss this alleged light at the end of the tunnel our soldiers and their families are only seeing as the headlamp of an oncoming train.
Just out of curiosity, what SPECIFICALLY about an American economy on its way to a recession is supposed to impress the Iraq citizens most? Back to your concept of leadership and inspiration - IF we had a charismatic leader PERHAPS he could INSPIRE the people toward what he wants is them all buying into the American type of government. They were confused because at first they had 1 leader they hated removed and then they got Bush and saw right through him almost to the point of "how is this any different?" Everything that guy touches from the Texas Rangers to Texas education to the American Economy to foreign politics just freakin nose-dives. Texas always ranked dead last out of 50 states in education under his leadership. I'll bet his brother's state isn't much better (ie: they weren't smart enough to handle COUNTING the votes AND they trained the terrorists to fly).
