Does anyone in here personally know of anyone who wouldn't vote for Obama because he's black, or Hillary because she's a woman?
I can't imagine my old Irish grandmother would have voted for a black guy, but she's dead. Anyone? |

I think the issue for Obama isn't people who casually use the N word. Those type of people are either part of the extreme wing of the Republican party or political independents who lean Republican.
It's people who publicly say PC things and agree with many Democratic policies, but if you sit down with them privately (or get them drunk) they will admit that they're afraid of black people or think they're slothful, lazy, or innately prone to crime. The guy I know is part of the first category. |

Aside from having the internet, the ruralness of my area is a step back in time about 40-50 years. Particularly with the folks that have a decade or two on my parents. I think I could throw a rock & hit someone who wouldn't vote for Obama.
Not because he is black. But because he is "colored." Jokes aside, I don't think it's actually a "hate thing" from observing it. Maybe it stems from hate, but it appears to be more negligence than ignorance. A definite class system vibe. |

I think so, Anybody voting for him because he is Black? I'd bet that number is way higher. C'mon fellas we've been talking about the black vote staying home if the white woman wins. (even the liberals so don't start calling me names  )Anybody won't vote for a dame? Not many I bet. (probably some but she doesn't take the women at 90%) Looks like the other side of the race and sex card will well surpass the Klan vote. (and they probably hate Bush anyway) I'd be happy to vote for Condoleeza Rice or Colin Powell. and just a guess, a guy who'd lean Dem but hates blacks too much to vote for Obama is probably a guy who isn't gonna vote anyway.
