Who will really be calling the shots? Who has the connections? Slick Willie that is who. I have a sick feeling in my stomach that she will be elected. I may have to move to Asia for the next four years and sit on the beach in Phuket Thailand rather then be under her administration. Thoughts on this?

My thought is to relax. She's an unlovable, but competent centrist.
What are you so afraid of? What's going to happen to America under Hillary that would make you think you'd be better off in coup-happy Thailand? |

Seriously, imagine how much better the world would be if Clinton had been granted a third term and George W. had slinked back to Texas and drank on the porch.
Sigh. One can only dream. McCain has been pretty complimentary of Hillary. They're both on the Centrist Committee, or whatever that's called. Wonder if they'll be chummy in the debate? |

I'd really like to know what DieHard thinks will happen if Hillary is elected that he won't be able to stand.

I doubt it: McCain Says Clinton Would ‘Surrender’ By The New York Times Senator John McCain launched into a pointed critique of his Senate colleague Hillary Rodham Clinton today, saying that “for the first time in political history” a presidential candidate has called for outright surrender in a war. “Candidate Clinton has called for surrender and waving the white flag,” he said during an appearance in West Palm Beach. “I think it’s terrible. I think it’s terrible.” His remarks come as he is campaigning hard in Florida, hoping to defeat Rudolph W. Giuliani and keep the momentum from his victory last Saturday in South Carolina. In his remarks, he seemed to suggest Mrs. Clinton would be the nominee, and was perhaps using her as a vehicle to rally Republican voters in the run-up to the primary. “I look forward to the debate with Senator Clinton on that issue. Americans don’t want to throw away the hard-earned gains we have made against Al Qaeda and Iraq. If Senator Clinton has her way, Al Qaeda will trumpet to the world that they have beaten the United States.” “For us to do what Senator Clinton wants us to do — that is to wave the white flag -– I cannot guarantee United States security in the region or in the United States.” Phil Singer, a spokesman for Senator Clinton, emailed this response: “Senator Clinton and Senator McCain disagree. Senator McCain says it would be fine with him if our troops were in Iraq for 100 years. Senator Clinton wants to end the war and will bring our troops home quickly and responsibly. That’s the best way to defend our nation and protect our national security interests.” |

Yikes. What is hilarious is that anyone really believes that Bill ran the show the 1st two terms... Will they be returning the silver if they get back in 1600 Penn.? |

Legacy, would it help you if you came to understand that none of that stuff about trashing Air Force One or stealing silver was true, and that it's sort of stupid to go on repeating it?

I think support for the war is about 18% in the latest polls. The notion that we should stay there forever because we don't want Al Quaeda (who we stopped fighting in Afghanistan to go to Iraq) to do a victory dance?
Kinda 12-year-old logic, isn't it? I have no idea what the "objective" would be in Iraq at this point. We created a huge black hole of leadership, watched the country and its history and art be devastated, played our part in terrifying the population into total desperation, acted surprised that they turned to one of 20 enforcers running various corners of the country, acted surprised that various extremists jumped in to add to the mayhem... I suppose the effort is to leave the country with some hope of crawling back out of the dark hole we dug and then shoved them into. And then get the hell out. |

no thank you 2 terms is enough for ANY president, I don't care who they are!
sorry I don't want to think about what things would have been like with the do nothing president office, cause that is what his military plans equaled out to, do nothing (ok not nothing but as little as possible and not nearly enough, that and downsize the military so badly both in personell and equipment, that we are still feeling the effects of it,) he did his good he did his bad just like all presidents his time was up just like all presidents.

Hillary is taking a page right out of hubby's campaign stratagy. Run as a moderate, get elected and show your true liberal colors. As a conservative (not necessairly Republican, I'm more libertarian than anything else) I've seen enough now to realize I can stomach an Obama presidency, but I'd like Hill & Bill to pack up and head back to Arkansas. |

I think there are a lot of Democrats that would agree with you there. Time to turn the page.

If that pic had been posted by a Steeler fan or the ManWagon, they probably would have photochopped Brady Quinn into the picture.

I'm afraid Hillary will wreck the economy and get us into another Viet Nam in the Middle East.
Wait... |

Ya two terms under Bills brought peace to the middle east, feed the hungry and gave me hope that social security will be around in 20 years. Oh wait he didn't. But he did make it cool to get a hummer in the oval office. |

AT least the Clintons in the White House managed to make liberal leftists very quiet about the poor, the hungry, the uninsured and the homeless.
As long as a corrupt Dem Clinton is in office, "let em eat cake", right? |

What's the alternative? Let's START trying even harder over there because right now it's too embarassing to give updates on Clusterphuck Nation. I'm looking forward to hearing that moron's let's REALLY kick ass speech. I think Bush's worthless brats should be over there for the entire length of stay. He's having so much fun seeing young Americans dying for no good reason. That has ZERO to do with fighting for our freedom here while we're outsourcing OUR border controls to security guards with narcolespsy and/or a willingness to work for $6.25 an hour. "You're from Cuba? And you're another no habla? President Bush has a job for you keeping your no habla buddies from entering his country and don't worry about a background check. Just deep 6 those sandals or flip flops with the made in Iran tag." There's never been a worse President for this country than the current guy that has adored every second of war for what feels like his entire double term. Yuck. - Tom F. (When I think of this presidency all I can tie it to is war and bloodshed where they excuse every ounce of it to blaming previous presidencies) |

Ok Bush was not the first president to get us into a war. As for call him the worst in history is very short sited. You have that whole Vietnam thing that was not to popular. One of my favorites, the firebombing of Tokyo in WWII, talk about taking out your civilians. Then let’s not forget the Maine. Wonderful excuse to invade Cuba and liberate them from the Spanish. We could talk about Presidents that allowed slavery to continue and I bet profited off of it. Just wondering, did not the founder of the Democratic Party have slaves, what it was ok at the time? Or the good work he did made up for that? Blanket statement so and so is the worst in history when it is today is a cop out. It is meant to upset people that don’t have a clue and get them to vote for someone else. It stirs up the masses.
As for the war, personal opinion, we should have went in, kick ass and left. Let them put the pieces back together. Anyone else wants play we do it again. They have cash, they can rebuild. That is if they can ever stop killing each other. But Clinton had eight years to fix this and he did not. We also had Ford and Carter when all this trouble was going on in the Middle East and well guess they did not solve it either. So forgive me if I don’t believe that anyone of these idiots is either. My opinion is that the political structure of the company has become so entrenched in wealth that it does not matter. They cannot see the light of day anyway. One side tosses money at business to line their pocks. The other tosses it at the poor while lining there pockets with business. Corruption is universal in both parties. It is built into the system. I do find it funny that the democratic part was started so that the common man would have a voice in government. Not as a social program. How running for nomination is a regular person. A working class stiff. None of them. The price to get elected is too high. Old Huckabee (SP) is about the closest out there. While I have not look up his background and I don’t support him, he has been competing on a very limited budget. |

Agreed! That said, he's probably the guy that had the LEAST vision about WHAT we needed to accomplish, HOW we were going to accomplish it and WHAT the freakin history of the Middleeast being OPEN to change from someone that is as trustworthy as Bush. Has THIS war ever had the realistic chance of being successful? No! It's knee-jerk all the way. "Smoking em out of their caves" costs us 100 million $ per random bomb dropped so it wasn't like we could AFFORD to bomb a school or hospital of innocent citizens instead. There's 200 million $ spent on killing innocent citizens that were NEVER a threat to you or me. That only created 200 million more reasons for people to hate America my friend. That probably created more hate against us than Bin Laden was capable of recruiting. This regime doesn't PLAN and it's why it's insufficient for a country as GREAT as our's. Ask for MORE from your country because we're not residing where we HAVE to live by "this is as good as it gets." It's not what our founding fathers had in mind. Go back and read some of the initial doctrines we were using to pave the way for our future. "All men are created equal" doesn't emphasize ONLY some of them deserve dependable healthcare coverages or quality educations. We've deviated considerably from the land of opportunity. Now it's the land of opportunity for people born into the right socioeconomic statuses. So HOW do we advertise for our military? We show people from minority classes getting access to affordable educations IF they survive the frontlines of war. - Tom F. |
