How am I going to bet a bushel of tomatoes to a local food bank from California? And why not just give the food bank money and let them use it for whatever they like/need?
Why are you trying to make this so difficult?
$100 to Fisher House, or come up with another worthy organization and I'll be happy to bet you.

What's my fear? I started a post where I offered to bet anyone on here.
Clearly Cal would rather pretend I haven't so he can go around saying "Heck won't bet a bushel of tomatoes! Heck won't bet a bushel of tomatoes!" like some 7-year-old in a special school.
Not really my problem.
If he wants to bet a charity donation, let him name it. If he wants to act like a sped, well, I'm not his caregiver. He can go nuts.

That's the question Republicans have been asking the Federal government since FDR.

Tupa, believe me, at this point I'd even be willing to go off topic on something as boring as block grants.

And Steve, I don't think Obama's a shoo-in.
