Wow. 16% is very impressive. I had no idea (obviously). I'd like the hell out of the guy if his foreign policy awareness wasn't so Japanese (pre- Commodore Perry).

pre commodore perry japanese.. thats pretty funny. I have to agree with you Legacy I do like Ron Paul except for his extremely unrealistic economy destroying foreign policy.

Don't you guys worry about why a candidate like Paul doesn't get covered in the media? I Certainly do...! 260 million people in America and we have a Two party system? P.S The Media Companies are the most powerful lobbies in all of Washington. ie Have the most influence with everything, there are only six....SONY being one(foreign).....That Flat out control what we see and read and hear. I'm truly disturbed by what has happened since Telecom act of 96' |

I'm disappointed that he doesnt get more coverage, but it doesnt worry me. The guy could never win, his ideas are too far from the norm. He doesnt get covered because he doesnt have mainstream appeal.
As for any big conspiracy or problem with the two party system: how many third party candidates has this country ever really supported? 1? 2? I dont think telecom, Sony, or Elvis (you know, not really dead) was the reason no third party emerged to challenge Adams/Jefferson. |

Since I posted the number, I should also post the context: his numbers were pretty inflated by the fact that the GOP nomination has been wrapped up for months. His supporters are showing up in large numbers to make a point. Had the GOP seen the same turnout as the Dems, Ron Paul's votes wouldve accounted for only about 5%. |

Wow either I didn't make my point succinctly enough or I made to many points....fact is there are 6 companies that control what we read, listen to and watch down from 25 pre-telcom act of 96'...to me that is disturbing. as far as Adams/Jefferson...care to take a stab at how many americans there were(population wise)then? And to my point....The media lobby is the most powerful lobby in America...they are courted by those in power, those who want to be in power, and those that want to stay in power...Think about how much control you would have if you were say rupert muddoch...If He didn't like a candidate he simply wouldn't cover them.....if he did it would have a negative bent...I fkin laugh at your mainstream appeal comment....no shit you fed right into my point! 6 conglomerates determine mainstream appeal! |

756 stories about Hillary Clinton
760 stories about Barack Obama 674 stories about about John McCain 424 stories about Mitt Romney 281 stories about Mike Huckebee Ron Paul is right. I saw the CNN raping of one of his interviews, and FOX News had like two or three complete and flat out lies and manipulations that if they were not so well crafted would have resulted in Grand Jury indictments for a host of charges. "DD" Ron has gotten some bad ass press. http://www.ronpaultimeline.com/ "WNTT" you know the title of the thread? |

You want Ron Paul conspiracies? here is one from his own mouth:
"NAFTA’s superhighway is just one part of a plan to erase the borders between the U.S. and Mexico, called the North American Union. This spawn of powerful special interests, would create a single nation out of Canada, the U.S. and Mexico, with a new unelected bureaucracy and money system. Forget about controlling immigration under this scheme. And a free America, with limited, constitutional government, would be gone forever." I dont need CNN to tell me that that's out of the mainstream. |

My point again is You do not hear about it...good or bad. A message like that should be heard...either way.

Where does that logic end? Did all 15+ candidates deserve equal time until they withdrew? |

Personally think he is /was in the top 6 choices. Perhaps you don't...20% in PA is an interesting story. Same goes for Huckabee....never see him in news either...Media controls what we see read and hear....It is disturbing

Also...I know you posted the link but did you take the time to read through it??? Some amazing facts, and disturbing ones.... like this....."CNN reporter in Maryland tells Ron Paul supporters at a Huckabee rally that the network won't air any stories with Ron Paul signs in the background"
Ummm free speech huh? |

He never polled in double digits nationally, and no candidate has eer succeeded with the extreme positions he took, so I'm not sure how you draw that conlclusion. The number in PA was actually 14%, and it was on a day that there was no reason for McCain supporters to show up. In reality, it was closer to 5%. Huckabee got a ton of coverage when he was in contention. He is no longer in contention. He still gets some coverage, but I dont know why he would deserve any. |

I'm not concerned over candidates....I'm concerned over who has control over what we read hear and watch! from 25 independent entities pre-96 to 6 entities! Disney,time-warner,GE etc....
