So Jeremiah Wright's 'replacement' throws out an obvious race card by saying his treatment by the media was akin to 'LYNCHING'.
Most of the racism I read about is coming from Obama's camp. 'Typical White Person' and now a 'Lynching'. Obama cannot win this election. No way. Tell me I'm crazy but talk to me the day after Clinton wins the Nomination or the day after the general election. |

You're crazy. And Obama will win the nomination and the presidency. The debate will be about CHANGE and IRAQ. Obama represents CHANGE while McCain wears a scarlet letter "I" on his shirt.
Or "B" for "BUSHIE." |

Well I'm cautiously optiminstic for Hillary. It is a hoot seeing all the lefties tear into the Clintons like mad dogs. I guess the "religious left" is under no such rule of civility. (I mean we all knew McCain would be the devil as soon as he won the nomination) WSS |

Yeah, you're crazy.
There's almost no chance Clinton can win the nomination outright. It's already over, and Obama has won. You guys in the fever swamp love this Trinity Baptist stuff. You think it's proof that Obama is a closet black separatist. Or something. But nuts who think like this weren't going to vote for him anyway. |

And how is Wright's replacement in "Obama's camp"? Because he endorsed him? Now he's responsible for what everybody who has endorsed him is saying?
Are you kidding? Are you going to take that logic and apply it to the people who have endorsed McCain? How about the people who McCain has sought out for their endorsement? Are you going to hold McCain accountable for everything they say, or are you just being a hack? Don't you have any real issues to worry about? |

Or guys like you who are drinking the Kool Aid. The guy could have a missionary in the pot in the back yard and you'd spin it. There's the emoticon you were looking for. WSS |

You'll notice I don't particularly care about what Reverend Hagee thinks, or what Falwell thought, even though McCain actively sought both of their endorsements. I don't start 27 threads on the subject.
Because I'm an adult. And I understand that McCain doesn't believe what they believe. So I don't get all excited. |

Let me repeat, "LYNCHING". Clinton can and would beat McCain but Obama cannot and will not win the national election. If that phone rings at 3:00 AM, I sure as heck don't want Obama picking it up. |

Why? Because someone in a church said lynching?
Man, you guys might as well be wearing dog collars. The ease with which you are led by this stuff is astonishing. |

McCain didn't spend twenty years as Falwell's acolyte in order to secure a political base. And Falwells words were pretty darn mild in comparison and he apologized within days. And you lefties have been screaming about Falwell for years. What was it Hagee said? Mislims are ****ed up? Hmmmmm. David Duke get the same understanding on your end? I mean he renounced his more divisive racial language right? ps I don't think Obama is likely thzt kind of guy, but I do think he deserves some shit especially in the light of the blind fawning he gets. this race is almoast over, the Dem's best chance is for Hilary to get the nomination, whom can't be MC anyway. however obama pretty much has it all locked up. MC will take Obama easily, and if he gets Romney as his Vice it will be a landslide, and the republicans will have office for another 4 years, possibly 12 if Romney is vice and doesn't commit political suicide.
I feel for you guys for trying to fight to the end, but the reality is wether democrats believe it or not, the Wright incident sunk Obama. a majority of the independents will go MC's way in the general, both because of the wright incident, and the fact that Obama is very very very liberal. while MC is technically a Republican, his views are very liberal, and he will capture the independent votes because of that, and the republican votes simply because they don't want to see Hilary or Obama in charge. Its basically over already |

Do you even know what Falwell and Hagee have said, Steve? Apparently not.
And I still don't care. Because McCain is doing this "in order to secure a political base." |

You're right. McCain is toast. (I'm just kidding because it's obviously so NOT over in either way.) |

ya, while technically alot can happen, but Obama has an amazingly uphill battle, that he likely will not be able to win in the amount of time he'll have to campaign nationally. 1, Due to the recent events, and 2, wich is the reason Romeny dropped out when he did, because the Dems, and independents don't have a single Democratic canidate to get behind. and when they do, there will be very little time to campaign and gain that support. Obama is going to be fight a very steep uphill battle, and MC has been around Washington so long, he won't say/do something stupid to make it easy for Obama. Bascially I would not be the least be suprised if MC gets the job |

You guys are acting like the election is next week. We've got five months before the conventions, then almost three after that before we get to the elections.
Anyone who says this race is over now doesn't follow politics all that closely. |

Just about every major indicator favors the Democrats, who haven't selected their candidate yet. And when they do, despite some grumbling, they'll all get behind that person by August.
McCain has attached himself to Bush's Iraq policy and Bush economic/tax policies. Both of those issues heavily favor the Democrat. He needs Iraq to (somehow) go very well. He needs real, continued progress. Long, long way to go. The polls are meaningless at this point. Christ, we don't even know who the running mates are yet. nevermind what events may happen between now and November. |

however if you do follow politics closely, you are also well farmiliar with just how much a little thing can hurt a canidate. Also you can always make a very educated guess at this stage, based on issues, history, and the canidates, who has the best chance.
also Iraq has been going uphill lately, and people dont' care about it as much anymore, mostly due to the slowing econemy. people that are already pinching pennys are not going to be getting in line to vote for a canidate who will raise their taxes. so MC's stances and issues, are becomming mroe and more appealing to the independents. who are the ones that really decide the election. just stating my view on how things are looking right now |

I'd say that's true, except the "very educated" part. It's all guesswork at this point.
