I was waiting for one of his fans to note it, but I assume they avoid the WSJ like Steeler fans avoid heterosexual contact; Thomas Frank will have a weekly column in the Journal every Wednesday beginning May 14. I would like to take this opportunity to reiterate that I think he is a jackass. I can only assume that the Journal hired him to make it clear that Murdoch has no editorial control over the paper. I cant wait to have him imform me on a weekly basis about the evils of capitalism.

I'm not familiar with Frank, but it's probably along the same lines as the Times hiring Bill Kristol. Not that I would accuse owners of large media companies of being cynical or anything, but one must wonder why a company would hire a guy who's always wrong to provide the dissenting voice.
