Check out this clip from Hardball.

Why was Neville Chamberlain called an appeaser? Because he was an appeaser!

wtf

What a dumbass. Has anybody from California actually listened to this guy's show?

Oh my. What a clown.

Something tells me this guy won't be speaking for the Republican Party anymore. He'll get a nice phone call this evening.

Thanks for posting that. Good fun.

I especially liked that Obama needs to go over to Israel and explain his Israel policy.

That's great. They're not our 51st state, we're their 2nd.

I've never heard of him.

Doesn't seem like his show must be any good.
Likely a set up.

A set-up? Huh?

How do you think this was a set-up? Seems clearly like a guy who was called on his bullshit.

Please explain your theory. How did this guy get set up? Did some booker at Hardball somehow know that he didn't know what happened in Munich and got Matthews to agree to have him on and nail him?

Do explain your "likely" scneario.

Okay, I'll cop to not watching the whole thing. Actually, I stopped after about forty-five seconds. Nevertheless, it's pretty easy to set up a straw man on shows like that.

I'll give you an example from the other side: Fox News in the run-up to the Iraq War--I believe it was Fox and Friends. To argue for the invasion, they had some analyst who could not only cite chapter and verse the international laws that would allow for the war (remember international law? It was back in the halcyon days when we fought honorable people like the SS), but also give a number of intelligence reports from a variety of sources that said Iraq had WMD.

From the opposition--which included heavyweights like Brent Scowcroft and any number of Middle East and military scholars? Jenneane Garafolo, who's a lousy comedian. As a debater on foreign affairs? Catastrophic.

Being against the war, I was struck by two things: first, that I had to grudgingly accept that the "pro" guy was winning the debate. Second, that the debate itself was wildly unfair; the "pro" guy had access to evidence and debate language that Garafolo didn't.

It's like when any network has Bill Kristol on to talk about anything; since he's never been right about anything, the other side automatically wins the first time he smirks.

Man. This guy got both a BA & a JD, yet he never learned (or cared to learn) what "appeasement" is and why it failed to prevent WWII.

Is our education system really that f'ed up?

Two words, my man: Douglas Feith.

But in this case it wasn't Scowcroft versus a Garofalo. It was two radio talk show hosts versus each other. And the person who'd heard enough wasn't the guest, it was the host.

It's not a set up. This guy is just a dipshit in over his head.

I'd wager that this guy thinks of himself as the next Hannity/Beck type and wants to transition from radio to TV, so he's trying to get on talking head shows like this.

BTW, I know a producer over at Hardball. I'll ask where they found him. I've never heard of him before.

And we'll probably never hear of him again. Probably not the debut he'd envisioned.

I once read that guests on Hardball get $1,000 per appearance.

Apparently, that's the price of Kevin James' dignity.

He is.
And I think that's why he got the spot.

Someone like Dennis Prager wouldn't have given Matthews, a lefty, an easy target.

Alo, it's even worse. Hardball (or Tucker or Hannity & Colmes or any of those cable talk shows) don't pay you a dime to come on. Kevin James ruined his chance to be the next Sean Hannity ...for free!
