1.) National unemployment Rate at 5.1%. Repubs blame the migrant workers here illegally BUT somebody is in charge of our borders RIGHT?
2.) Gas prices heading toward $4.00 a gal. Yay!!!
3.) Foreclosure Rates in Realeastate VERY high. People can't afford hopuses any more???? Gee, there's progress.
4.) 47 million Americans without health care insurance and another 18-20 million Amwericans with inadequate health insurance. Now THAT is progress according to some...
5.) Current Commander-In-Chief wants an eternal war and so does McCain as the alternative to an African American Pres or a Female Pres. McCain will be closer to 80 than 75 if he makes it through a 4 year term healthy.

As our kind-hearted Republicans like to remind us at every opportunity - why should Americans WANT more than this?

1. You do know that the flip side of a low unemployment rate is high inflation. Economics 101. It is a ballancing act. 5.1% is not out of line with past years. So point one means squat.

2. Gas prices suck, but I don't see any less SUVs on the road. I got tires a couple of weeks ago and watch some your 20s girl buy knobbies for her truck because they look cool. She does not take it off road, and you wonder why gas is going up. The only people to blame are ourselves. For the last 20 years Americans have lived on cheap gas and though nothing of fuel effeciency. Again rocks at a glass house.

3. So what do you want. A mortgage system that gives everyone a loan so everyone can own a house or one that actually checks peoples credit to ensure they will pay it off. The problem is 50 years ago a man worked to pay off his debt. He felt that it was his obligation. Today people just pack up and leave, who cares. Since they are not worried about paying for it, why worry about spending it. Last, if you make enough to afford a house, you should be smart enough to figure out how much your mortgage is going to cost you. Do you have any actual valid points?

4. Sorry I still don't buy the system is broke. It might need some tweeking but if we would stop playing political corectness and get people off their butts and force them to live responsibility it would make a big difference.

5. Funny you say that now but once something happens again here I am sure you will be screaming why has the Gov't not protected you.

And as our Democrates want to remind us, it is all your fault if you work hard or are not a minority. We own it to those that want to blame eveyone else for their situation is life. So open your wallet and then get back to work.

Well, why not? we can blame ourselves, for not watching what our political representatives are doing, and we keep re-electing them all in the name of a party.

Or maybe we are all to busy working so that we can make ends meet after covering our share in Tax Burdens. And with that we dont realize that we have just elected some dumbass who is going to do nothing but Fook things up even more.

Sure all politicians make promises, but when it comes down to implementing them, in the long run it comes back to limit the ability of Joe Six Pack, from doing what he needs to do to earn a living.

They the politicians really dont dont have to live by the same rules and laws that we do the working public.

Just like Medicare and social security, why does federal politicians have a different teered program than the average citizen?

So we really do need to blame ourselves for not watching and getting involved when politicians are trying to pass a new law or a new program. We can all call our Congressman or lady and let them know how we feel. Did you know that one email or one phone call to a politician is considered that 10 more people feel the same way.

So what I suggest is that all of know and have saved phone numbers and email addresses to all of our representatives.

No the reason we do not have more fuel efficient cars is because there is not demand for them. In Europe gas is about double and most cars get about over 10 additional MPG. The technology is nt different the consumer demands a better product. Americans have been filling up and continue to fill up their 12 MPG SUVs and then wonder why gas is costing them so much.

What do you think the Govt can really do. Not much if people are going to continue to drive like they do. You want to lower gas prices, lower the demand for the product.

Or we can put a stop to the price gouging!

The cost of gas effects everyone in this country in multiple ways.

No wonder this country is in a recession.

hell McCain solved the health care problem giving a 5K tax break to all those 47 million who average paying less that a 1000 a year in taxes..............HOW FRIGGING DUMB IS that GIVE THE BREAK TO THOSE WHO HAVE INSURANCE AND SCREW THOSE WHO DO NOT!
