If true, yet another example at how the Iraqi's are showing themselves to be more and more capable of tracking, capturing or killing terrorists within their borders. I call that progress.

Some folks say it's a waste of time expecting Iraqis to want freedom and safety for their families. Different Arabic culture and all that.

I disagree strongly. The vast majority of Iraqis want that very much, and are getting their boots and votes on the ground to defend that freedom.

I hope they are profoundly successful.

We may have to take out Iran's version of Hitler first.

If I recall correctly, the debate was whether or not it was worth expending American dollars and lives for other people's freedom. The "different culture" has to do with the fact that, given the chance, the different ethnic groups have shown that they will waste little time blowing each other up.

I know, Rich. You would have surrended to the Germans in WWII.
Because you "knew" Bush would be elected many decades later, because an alien in a UFO clued you in.
Meanwhile, I'm farming, and your chopper is mince meat vs my John Deere.
"Moo".

I'll believe this when the Americans say it's true, not the Iraqis.

It'd be nice. Won't change much, but it'd be nice.

Sorry Bud, the Germans invaded Poland and Czechoslovakia and France.......and all those nations had armies that could fight back........WE invaded Iraq when they didn't have an army to fight back...........

Makes US in this war lower than the Nazis in WWII.....and we both used torture as a common tactic

I refuse to drape myself in our flag or support a war when we are the cause of the unneeded war and the blood flowing in the streets

I guess I was right to be suspicious, eh, DieHard?

They didn't catch Al-Masri. They caught a guy with a similar name.

We've been through this a dozen times with them and high-value captures. They think they've got a guy, and then it turns out they don't.

Surrender?
Not a chance.
He'd have been side by side with Howard W Campbell Jr.

HAVE YOU LOST YOUR MARBLES?????

I may not like the fact Bush adm made a massive geo political error in invading Iraq, hell lets say really that was not necessarily the error. The error was disbanding the Government/military and not securing the border and munitions.

The U.S. in no way is comparable to the occult/drugged up on injected cow manure Hitler and his cronies. Yes we F'ed up majorily with lowering ourselves to torture, yes we have probably killed a lot of innocents in Iraq and elsewhere. That is the REAL cost of ANY war.

Rich you have lost perspective on our problems if you believe we are as bad as the germans in WW2.

I waited for confirmation. But curious, when have we played yo-yo with possible captures? Typically I have found that when we say we got someone, we got them.

I am not sre where you're coming from on that one.

Because we're talking about the Iraqis. They "captured" this guy, not us. And often times before they've claimed to have captured a high-value target, and it turns out, for one reason or another, they haven't.

So like I said, I wait for American confirmation on this stuff.

I guess that makes me a "leftwing nut" who should "move to Canada."

No I am the same way, that is why I waited to post here because I wanted confirmation. I thought you meant we always say we have a guy and then turns out we don't.
