from Wonkette:
This reminds me of how White House Press Secretary Dana Perino admitted she didn't know what the Cuban Missile Crisis was. On Hillary's proposal, I understand why Obama wouldn't agree to the Lincoln-Douglas debate. He's generally not done well in the debates, and he's hoping the primaries on Tuesday will lock up the nomination for him. But I think it's a mistake. First, having a moderator-free debate will help Obama, as it's less likely Hillary would bring up garbage like the Bill Ayers connection. And he could really challenge her on the stupid gas tax proposal. Additionally, it would establish a precedent for the general election. McCain's an even worse debater than Obama, especially on domestic policy. So it'd be great if Obama could challenge McCain to a 3-hour debate on economic policy and say, "when Hillary challenged me to a Lincoln-Douglas debate, I accepted; Senator McCain, you should too." |

So I'm guessing you're sipping the Obama Kool Aid with ____. Actually I think he thrives on the crap questions. That way he gets to harrumph that "The American people want to know who's going to end the war educate the children bring back the good jobs and give them health care." And therefore sidestepping the details on any of them. I hate these (all of them) stupid debates anyway. Might as well just spin a wheel with "Stump speeck a b c d e f etc" on it. PS Wonkette; it's Morons unless you're Irish bashing too. WSS |
